They are not suppose to know the girls name. Not a big deal I guess but it is kinda of impactful when it is revealed

I suppose that the pase is made this way so people can follow the events as they happen based on timeline, not sure about it though but i strongly believe it

octopus is better friend by default. gon is a terrible friend to killua from the get go. If not for Killua's patience and screwed up sense of reality thanks to his upbringing He should never tolerate Gon's behavior. It is only thanks to Killua being desperate to keep a friend and insane tolerance he built through his childhood that he can forgive all the bullshit gon does to him and focus on the positive. Noone sane who was brought up in somewhat normal circumstances would be gons friend. Since they met, gon kept ignoring killua's desires/wishes and even his well-being for his own selfish desires. Gon and Killua relationship is beautiful on the paper because they are who they are and they are in HxH universe. Gon always have some insane motive that can only be allowed/accepted in hxh universe so that is why he gets a pass for his behavior and actions. Such relationship in real worls would be extremely toxic.

Gon being okay with Meleoron betraying his underling, is considered by some to be a sign of how Gon thinks about things in terms of good or bad, instead of right and wrong, as in does this benefit or hurt him as opposed to considering right or wrong in terms of morality. If that theory is true, it's imo very realistic behavior considering Gon's age and upbringing

The thing about HxH is that it's paced like old anime. The author is never in a rush to please the reader. He sets up a bunch of stuff and then lets all pay off hugely. So in that sense, the more it's stalled, the bigger the pay off. I've seen some people say HxH is boring because of that, but anyone that can go along with it will know to value it as a big plus of the show.

It's just impossible not to like Knuckle. He's in BEST BOY competition with Killua.
Komugi's dynamic with the King is immediately interesting. I wish they hadn't added snot to her character design though π
