Here's the finished WS animation! This one actually turned out better than I expected! I got quite hot and bothered from this one as I worked on it, and I'm not that much of a WS guy. it was very tough to get the right look for the fluids, but they turned out pretty alright. This particular part I was reeeeeally really unsure of, because it kept looking like a bunch of glass beads and not fluid:

And it still kind of does here, but the magic of video compression when the final frames are rendered into a video helps get rid of those pesky details in a nice way!
The sound on this one is actually kind of interesting! Originally, I wanted to record myself [pe]eing a bunch in the tub for authenticity, but it was a lot more convenient to use more conventional methods. Before anything, if you're going to record sound in the bathroom, or anywhere with lots of tile, be sure to hang some towels around to help tone down the reverb. It's really finnicky recording in a bathroom because of how much the sound bounces around the room! Towels help, but it's still important to make sure your mic is as close to the sound as it can be! Also, if you're recording around splashing fluid, be careful to not get your equipment wet!
First, I tried using an empty bottle of rubbing alcohol I had just used the rest of. I simply filled it with water, plugged the tub and sprayed it on a wash cloth. That lead to okay results, but not what I wanted.
Next, I fed a garden hose from outside into the tub, attached a spray nozzle, turned the water on very low, and sprayed it in various ways in the tub. Then, from these recordings, I made minute long loops of various spraying sounds (heavy stream, light stream, dripped stream, stream that sounds more like it's hitting a body, etc...) using FL Studio and adjusted the volumes of these as needed. I also threw in some one shot heavy stream sounds where appropriate.
Then, when I was happy with the sounds, I rendered the audio in Blender, brought it into FL Studio and added reverb to the stuff as needed, then brought it back into Blender.
For added ambience, there's some interior humming sounds from previous animations as well as a recording from the gym I went to back in 2016ish. I like to think this is like, a locker room shower at a gym you know?
I don't think it's *perfect* but this is my second time doing this kind of sound, first time with a layered loop approach... but I think it's at least sort of fitting.
Thanks so much to all of you amazing folks... Really each time I post a finished animation, it's because of you all and your overwhelming positivity and support. But especially thanks to fans of water[sp]orts that have stuck around for so long... It's been awhile since I've said "yeah I'll do something with WS!" and well, after figuring out how to make a nice looking shower head spraying water, that was kind of the stepping stone to make decent looking fluids of this variety.
I still would like to further improve the look of it, maybe try using an actual fluid sim (maybe), but this is pretty good for a first one I'd say!
I ended up using this tapware model in the scene to add a bit of decoration:

I've attached the version with credits and without. Since this is a shorter one, I think it might be best enjoyed repeating, maybe? That's how I've enjoyed it anyway hehe... Oh also, someone requested a version without the WS, that'll be coming soon! I just need to re-render those parts. I'll either update this post or make a new post for it.
