Added soft bodies to the triceratops (his butt, thighs, calf and triceps). This shot has so much going on, like there's cloth moving, some jiggle, fluid, it's a good opener I think!
I also began going through the 3rd scene (where he's like "there's someone on the other side!?") and it needed more than just a little polish! I really wanted to give it more life and expression, like I want this animation to the best it can reasonably be. I'm still rather inexperienced and one thing that I've kind of realized animating lately is the importance of understanding where movement is coming from and using the 3d cursor to take advantage of that.
If you do 3d animation, the 3d cursor as your pivot point is very useful! It makes weight shifting so much easier, this way you can move around the "center of mass" of you character based on how the foot placement is going.

So this part is still WIP (also the goods I haven't really animated much yet because it'll be a combination of physics and hand animation) but it was coming along so well I really wanted to share it! I think it still has an amateur quality to it, but I think I'm improving steadily. Especially now with more responsive viewport and better playback frame rate! That makes such a huge difference. I encourage you to check out the attachments!
