Did a lot of minor tweaks, decided to go with the bronto's room from previous animations as the environment and added some paintings in the background to fill in some empty space.
Honestly, it was a bit worrying because things weren't looking too good. But after messing with some lighting and adjusting some textures, it started to take shape. Here's some stills, made a few smaller adjustments since this but very minor things.
I've also attached the final character movement with a small bit of test renders! Once again I'm extremely grateful for everyone's support and patience. Right now I'm rendering the final version of the "webcam view" the bronto is looking at, then when that's done, I'll start rendering the final frames!

If you want to see the artsy paintings I did for the wall (some you can't even really see) here they are:

Maybe these are paintings done by an in universe painter (or they bronto did them, or the painter is the bronto's friend, or the orange dino painted them, or maybe they were kitschy prints the bronto bought at some big box retail store, the possibilities truly are infinite)
I'm hoping that this will end up looking not horrible! It's looking promising so far though. I'm really happy with the fancy refractions on the toy, thanks to using Cycles (which is a fancy path-trace renderer). Plus, the motion blur on the fluid really does help so much with making it appear more fluid like (and not a series of polygon meshes that look like fluid)
