Deep Dish update + various things

Been working on several things, trying to settle on something that would be good for the next short animation as well as trying to get back into working on the deep dish project.

There were a handful of shots that were really worrying me on the deep dish thing. One is the credits background animation (a little loop that will play while the credits scroll by in the background, the raw version of it will be available for patrons of course!) I haven't animated the pigs yet but I have found a good pose for them and also setup and animated interior:

Internal shots are difficult to do in 3d because you have to do a lot of trickery to make approach something as good as a 2d internal shot. Hopefully this shows some of the hackiness of it :p

 The rig for the internals in this shot don't use bones for deformation! It's done with lattices, shake keys and displacement textures mapped to empties (which are parented to bones).

The first shot of the animation was also something I wasn't looking forward to working on because it has more kissing... Originally my plan for this shot was to use the make out animation for the shot where we see them making out from the front but it look so bad from behind (and it was animated with animation layers before I discovered the power using the NLA directly). I just got rid of it all and started out fresh.

I don't think the making out looks amazing or anything but I think it looks good enough for animation that's so far away from the camera. I figured what would be a good approach is having two actions per rig for making out (an A and B). Then synchronizing the strips on the NLA so I can focus on making two make out sequences that look okay and messing with the timing/spacing of the strips to fill out the rest of the timeline.

 It's 4 rigs that I animated for this shot (two character rigs and two "temp" rigs which are just local rigs that I made to more easily move the pig's body from the head-down as opposed to hips-up) Yeah this looks a little messy because it is... I had to work on top of some jank I did when I was using animation layers! I'll probably touch it up some more though. But it doesn't have to be super duper polished since even at 1080p it takes up such a small amount of screen space...

My new years resolution, get this deep dish thing done. I know it's already taken a frighteningly long time to get to this point... but dang it I'm going to finish it. I'm going to try focusing less on short animations and more on finishing the character animation.

Now, about the short animation thing, I was working on a bunch of ideas to find a good short animation to work on as the next short thing... then I saw this amazing animation by ChitterCG and it's been on my mind ever since.

The idea of slapping your junk on your body is so hot and then I was like "what if you did that so much you came from it" so I did this.

Before that though I was working on more stuff with Cerenthea. Something with Taylor (one of the raptor bros). I thought it'd be fun if the Star Erotics crew "abducts" Taylor and films something with him, like they've been monitoring him and decide he'd be good to star in one of their films (then they make him think it was all a dream through memory blurring technology). Who cares about all that though lol. It kinda grew out of control in scope, like there would be all kinds of cool intercourse going on but that'd take forever to do so it wouldn't really be a "short" animation... however I really want to put this shot through the works at some point with fluid from the meat, the nips, the p=ssy... I think that would be insanely good >_>
