Some stuff I've been working on!

Been working on a few things, someone was asking about the raptors and parasaur stuff and it made me want to do some stuff on them. Their rigs are allllmost done (good enough to at least make an animatic of some kind at least)

 

I've kind of accepted the fact that if I do a 4skin, I'm just going to have to do some manual correction of stuff if the shaft has some bend on it.

 It's not that bad, the head has bones to deform it, I have lattices that can expand the 4skin to cover the head better... but it'd be nice to somehow have it work without much fixing. However, this is the best approach (imo) to 4skin.

I've attached a little possible animatic thing I'd use to test all their rigs out (that's "animatic_test anim").

I also did a bit of stuff on this guy (from that animatic from a bit ago)... still WIP (I really need to figure out the tails for the bird species...)

 

I've also been working on fluid sim for the deep dish animation, been having the tests going on in the background. This shot is after the pig nuts from getting rimmed!

I've been trying to figure out how I want to do the shot for inside the dragon's butt though... that's going to be a bit of a challenge...

Also thanks for everyone who commented on the poll I did about the bug alien things! Great feed back and ideas! I haven't worked more on the bug things yet- If I was working on the game I was working on getting a couple other things implemented (a few boring things, stuff like a simple system for game variables, like for triggering stuff to happen after something else has happened, a tiny bit of modeling work on the parking lot background) however I have been working on Gyra's FMV model so he can hit standing up poses if needed.

Also some test posing for a lewd fmv... one of the lil bug guys wants to get f'd (and Gyra gets very deep... don't worry though they can handle it! Perhaps they were... made for this kind of thing??? I really really want to do this one and have c&m splurt out of his mouth... I haven't done that kind of thing yet but I've been itching to for awhile >_>)

Also... a potential interaction... maybe. It depends. "P^ss on car" would be one of those things for after everything crucial to the initial scope is done. It was just a fun test of an "interaction zone" where the button prompt would change for the interaction button.

So yeah... I'm going to keep setting up shots for fluid sim for the deep dish animation, testing fluids and working on stuff in between fluid test bakes!

Maybe... I do have a fire hydrant in the environment already! Won't be anyone around though. The area is supposed to feel lonely and abandoned, like something isn't quite right.

Thanks! Hmm... I might give a more distinctly-feather look a try. I was thinking more about a non-avian tail but maybe stiff, long feathers is the way to go... it'd look pretty cool seeing it fade from white into more of the hair color! And hehe... there will be a bit of a story reason for it (let's just say Gyra was intending on quitting his job when the game begins and the car belongs to his jerk ass boss)

Thanks for the suggestion! That's not a bad idea... idk if that would work (and if it did, if it'd be worth the additional hassle) I might try something like that though, might be worth shot to try! If it doesn't work it really isn't so bad manually correcting it, usually it's just a bit of clipping, nothing too hard to fix. As for the updated models, for sure! Once I do a bit of animation with them (to fix/improve obvious problems) I can release them as a 0.1 kind of version!

The “piss on car” action is just a creative way to steal a car😏 cuz by pissing on it you basically say “this car is mine” cuz nobody wants touch a car drenched in piss🤣 Also I got a idea for a bird tail: the tail could be like a Blue Jay’s tail like this https://cdn.britannica.com/40/117140-050-44DAA7CA/Blue-jay.jpg, it could start with a white color, then fade in to red then to pink to match his hair color; maybe you could follow its tail pattern? It could look nice either way.

Random idea on the foreskin problem (haven't tried it, no idea if it would work): the "copy transform" constraint has a head/tail slider and an option to follow the b-bone segments of the target bone. Maybe you could get a b-bone to approximate the curve of a section of the shaft, make the foreskin bones copy the transform of the bendy bone, and put drivers on the constraints' head/tail parameters? Idk just a thought. On an unrelated note, I would love to be able to play with the updated raptor and/or parasaur models when they're done :3
