Okay, I think it needs to be said at this point. Yes, GOTENKS is a bloviating brat who deserves to be taken down several pegs... but don't make the mistake of judging Goten and Trunks by him. This isn't a case where they're both themselves sharing control. The Fusion tends to be its own beast, and the power isn't the only thing the fusion amplifies. It also amplifies both personalities to ELEVEN. This tends to mean the Fusion suffers extreme overconfidence. We know THAT'S the case because we see the same thing in OTHER fusions. Ones that aren't between a couple of kids. Can't elaborate yet. The first time Gotenks went off half-cocked, Goten was extremely confused when Chichi reprimanded him later. They were scarcely aware of anything that happened individually, because their personality was a gestalt. Just keep that in mind. Honestly, it's probably why Gotenks very rarely makes an appearance in other Dragonball content.
