Oh yeah one more thing, the Narration, Gaiman performs great as the narrator and descriptions he provides are sometimes the actual notes he sent to his illustrators. You’ll see small differences from what the illustrator drew and what the narrator describes sometimes. It’s a fun look behind the curtain and shows how comics are collaborative work.

Some of the characters we have met already were not actually Gaiman’s, you’ve already seen mentions of the Justice League and Constantine. But the characters Cain and Able have been with DC since 60’s and they were Horror Hosts of the House of Mysteries comic line DC put out in the 60’s and 70’s, Alan Moore would then revive them for his Swamp Thing comic and then Gaiman scooped them up for The Sandman. Gaiman takes characters from every where Greek myth, Shakespeare and deep cuts of DC lore, he blends them altogether into this incredibly epic story which runs for 75 issues and some spinoff materials.

I love that your all very interested in writers and storytelling here. It’s a big part of the reason I brought this project to you. Because that’s what the Sandman is really all about. If you look past the dark subject matter and settings, which can incredibly dark and outright terrifying at times, what this is really all about is stories, and where they come from and why they last. So it was great see you both clueing in real quick, because it’s not overly apparent right out of the gate.

From my experience, anything that is longer than 8k symbols Patreon just sends back into the void without any warnings, so it's better to separate long ones in a couple of smaller ones)

Well I think this whole thing went great, both audio and illustration together make for an excellent collage of sound and art, the voice acting and score are wonderful but the sound effects and foley are what really make the audio book special and used with the illustrations the sound effects really helps bring the page to life. You both did great with following along when the audio expounds upon a panel or shifts panels around a bit, as someone who knew these panels intimately, I was a bit unsure how that would be for someone’s first time. Thanks again for doing this.

Hmm, my big long comment went away. Well you can trust that it was full of profound statements and well reasoned arguments and quite eloquently put if I do say so myself. I probably cussed, I am quite foul mouthed. But I will restate that yes the Lucifer show on Netflix is based on the Lucifer comics by Mike Carey which are a spin-off from the Sandman.
