One of the great things about Zoro is that, when he first joined the crew, he said something to Luffy along the lines of "If being part of this crew ever gets in the way of me reaching my dream, then I will kill you", and now, like you said, he is more dedicated to Luffy than any of them. That development is one of many reasons that Zoro is my all time favorite One Piece character.
