The entire interaction between Naruto and his mom is fantastic, so great to introduce her character and showcase his. I also appreciate how you pointed out the added issues with Kushina's death, I.E. her being stalked through pregnancy and intentionally targeted directly after childbirth. Most people recognize the whole thing as horrendous obviously, but I haven't seen a lot of people address that specific side of it in detail so that was nice. Iruka was about 10 when Naruto was born while Kakashi and Guy were about 15. Speaking of Guy, he's the absolute best, especially with showing Kisame an appropriate measure of respect. IMO, most of the great "B" or side characters don't get enough attention throughout huge stretches of the series due to a generally high pace in the canon plot material. The manga really moves most of the time, and the anime usually adds time with large semi-unrelated filler arcs instead of padding the plot events with a lot of small "anime-canon" material. Kishimoto didn't necessarily spend enough time on a lot of things that might have needed some space to breathe in order to have the best impact, so some of the minor interactions happen "off-screen" or not at all. I'd say the Sage Mode training/emotional response parts of the Pain Arc fell into this, where they felt like they were rushed or kind of ignored even though they technically weren't.

These episodes show you that even though he was a really good guy that everyone loved, the third was definitely not the best hokage. As great as he was there were A LOT of problems with his leadership and decisions.
