I own the volume but I haven't gotten around to reading it yet so I can't say how different it is from the source material. Anyway, your theories are pretty interesting. I won't say anything, but I do see where you're coming form with all of them. One thing I can say is that there are a few things in the show that are more metaphorical than anything.
