Ahhh these slice of life episodes are honestly some of my favorite episodes! I live for how much you love dorky Gohan. This (and more to come) is why so many comments have been saying you will love the start of this arc! I love how for once there’s not doom and gloom hanging over Gohan’s head and he simply gets to enjoy his life as a kid/teen. As a result I feel you can truly see his personality blossom. That combined with this age makes it just perfect 😍 And the best part? The slice of life episodes will only get better from here hehe. Just you guys wait! I definitely agree that this is my favorite Gohan age so far too as he’s so much his own person now. I always loved him, but this certainly takes it to the next level.
As for Goten: so cute!!! In fact, the Gohan and Goten moments together are super wholesome. I think that Goku not being in Goten’s life so far definitely played a role in how much Goten adores and looks up to his big brother. Gohan is the most consistent older male figure he has in his life after all. In Goku’s defense though… I’m pretty certain he did not actually know ChiChi was pregnant as the theory is that ChiChi got pregnant in the few days at home in between the hyperbolic time chamber and the Cell games, so it was very early on. Goku’s decision making in not being wanted to be wished back was not influenced by it as a result. So we can’t really blame that on him. But yeah still.. Goku why!!!! Story wise it makes for interesting moments to come though.
Last thing: I hate how the bumpers spoil the first time people see Goten…. (If you don’t take the intro into account, but that’s easier to skip). It wasn’t really thought through and I feel like it kind of ruins the impact 🙃

I think you should wait till after 205 to watch the opening and ending, if only because I want a certain.....desigine....to be a surprise. After that, have at it. And if you can, watch the intro in japanese as it has a new song.
