Two more things, with his best friend finishing I believe he was told the way the author wanted to end the series, here's to hoping he can pull it off, and secondly I do think you two will enjoy at least certain characters and how they're written based on your commentary here and previous ones.

2022-08-21 22:26:10 +0000 UTCGriffith symbolizes fate, while Guts is and was fighting against that fate, his fate, his death, the "brand" of sacrifice being the ultimate symbol of that fate, a man too angry to die, in a world full of monsters both literal and figurative. Most people die or give up little fight, while guts here was suppose to die, fated to never live, the personification of one's struggle against your destiny which is supposed to be pre-determined. (Hope this helps with some insight, and if you disagree I'd love to have a discussion about it.)
