I was fortunate(from a certain point of view) to start watching Naruto as *totally legitimate* fan-translated and -subbed versions the day after they aired live in Japan during OG's 2nd season, like 20 years ago now. Years and years of weekly episodes on Thursdays mostly, so yeah, even great fillers would become tiresome and obnoxious when it had been weeks or months since the main plot was touched. I can definitely understand why some people refuse to recommend any filler at all, even if there's plenty that's just fun like this.

2022-09-11 17:43:05 +0000 UTCI love how you guys often talk about how bad Naruto's filler episodes are, and then here you accidentally watched one and ended up loving it. A lot of Naruto's fillers are similar to this one, but there are also incredibly weird/bad ones, which are the ones you guys have tried watching in the past. I laughed every time you said "he is so good at writing minor characters like this" since Kishimoto has nothing to do with this character. Very odd that it wasn't marked as filler, hopefully that doesn't happen with any really bad episodes in the future 😂
