I would agree but at the same time, he was pretty surprised when Vegeta fully reveals he let it happen on purpose. I would say he is more suspicious than anything

In saying all this, lets be aware that the girls dont want to see spoilers in the chat. So please keep all comments about what is happening in the show to what has already been seen by the girls as sometimes the dub does get it wrong but may show it later in the arc. once the arc is over we can freely talk about it and all other dbz related stuff since the girls will have watched the entire series but for now please watch what is included in your comments. We dont want another problem like we had when the girls though Goku was an imposter. (full disclosure, i got on that one too due to the complete left field thinking that went into it but still not good as it did cause the girls to get spoilers)

In the dub Goku does say he didnt think he was weak enough to be controlled. This is directly after a realization moment that they dont say out loud but is seen as that moment in the sub that Goku figures out Vegeta decided to be controlled.

I feel like they would've from the next couple of episodes, I kinda hope they didn't see this so i can see there reaction to it

What he said. Funimation and Kai I'd say are about neck and neck when it comes to the writing for the Buu Saga. Although, there is one episode I'll give to Kai for performance ALONE. I think some will understand what ep I'm talking about and I can't WAIT to see them get to those scenes in comparison clips (or however they're gonna go about it, I still don't know)

Ooh, now we're cooking! Easily some of the best stuff in the Buu Saga is Majin Vegeta. While Buu is easily the weakest saga of DBZ, it's also the point where Funimation's dub —and the Ocean dub script that it borrows— finally reaches a point of real excellence. While Kai tends to be better, punchier, and more accurate than Z up until Cell ends, it kinda crosses back with the Buu saga. Vegeta's lines in the latest episode might not be STRICTLY accurate to the sub here... but make no mistake, lines like, "He may have invaded my mind and my body, but there's one thing a Saiyan always keeps! HIS PRIDE!!!" are etched in the SOULS of Dragonball fans. It's so ridiculously epic, drenched in meaning for the characters, operatic and ferociously acted... Sabat as Vegeta just keeps spitting these legendary sizzle-lines like he's Burt Gummer in Tremors 2, and despite Kai's better overall script writing, it's just impossible to improve upon what's already PERFECT. And it's not over yet... They had a LOT to deliver on with Goku and Vegeta finally having their long... LONG awaited confrontation, but they didn't miss their chance here. Oh, and since it's really hard to tell, at the end when Goku and Vegeta power up, what's meant to be significant is the fact that BOTH of them have attained Super Saiyan 2, the Ascended form that Gohan achieved when he overcame Cell. It's just the problem that unlike with Teen Gohan, it's REALLY hard to pick out the subtle change in the hair with the fully spiked locks and the single bang over the forehead —especially given that doesn't happen with Vegeta— and Z tends to add incidental lightning to power ups so frequently that when Super Saiyan 2 actually became a thing with its constant blue lightning, it didn't stick out as a feature of the form. Finally, you guys have mentioned before, asking what threat there is to Goku when he's dead already. Well... the body of a dead person is certainly more durable, but it is NOT indestructible. Basically, if you die, you're in Otherworld... If you die after THAT? You're gone. Poof. You cease to exist in this or ANY world. It is not something you generally WANT to happen, unless eternal existence becomes torturous on your sanity...

I'm pretty sure in the Japanese version Vegeta said he let himself get possessed on purpose to have Goku fight him. The dub got it wrong here...And it wasn't that he was still thinking about fighting Goku even while being controlled. It was just that his will was too strong for Babidi to control and he was simply acting on his own the whole time.
