your using scientifical logic to explain anime, thats where your going wrong

...And so begins the tradition of Dragonball recycling things it already did before to draw out a the same character's "hidden powers." Only happened once to Goku and Krillin, but Grand Elder Guru already did it for Gohan on Namek... Then, naturally, the sleeping beast awakened against Cell. Now... AGAIN... the Elder Kai is going to "awaken his sleeping powers." You'd think at some point the well would be tapped-out. It's kinda like how many times Dragonball has characters get stronger by attaining "total" control so they use less power more efficiently. There's a reason why latter DB material tends to make me roll my eyes, and it's stuff like this. Characters just keep boosting and frequently relearn the same lesson they already learned so the story can keep going into ever more absurd planes of power. After a point I have to wonder things, like... How does mere food power the star-like nuclear reactor that is their power supply after a certain point? Even for anime, it starts not to make even the vaguest mathematical sense. I feel like characters should be reducing solar systems to ash just by drawing power from their surroundings, because how else do you fuel all that?
