⭐ Transformers: Prime - Special Part 1-3

Oh, that's a mood. I honestly wish that Transformers Robots in disguise (2015) didn't happen, or at least it shouldn't have been the sequel to Prime. Rescue Bots is actually pretty good from what I've seen of it. But ya, I agree that the games are legendary and should be the things that we look back on as the definitive media for this Era of the franchise.

Sometimes I wish they would've just stuck to the games. Granted, Prime came from it, but I don't think anything after that lived up to it or the games. I also wish it was all better connected.

I'm so glad that you like the show so much already! Bits and pieces of the lore overall will be explained within the show itself but only when it becomes relevant to the story as a whole. But with that said Transformers: Prime is only a singular part of a much larger whole that is known by most as the "aligned continuity". So all collective media attached to it have mostly the same events just changed slightly depending on the people behind the piece of media. The aligned continuity's Major pieces of media and the places that you will get the most lore from consist of the 3 Video games: War for Cybertron, Fall of Cybertron and Rise of the Dark Spark. The Novels: Transformers: Exodus, Transformers: Exiles and Transformers: Retribution. The Cartoons: Transformers: Prime, Rescue Bots, Robots in Disguise (2015 yes the year matters because there is an older show by the same name) and Rescue Bots Academy. And If you want to go way back into the history Transformers: The Covenant of Primus which is also a book. There is also pieces of media that are considered to be Minor pieces of the continuity such as the Hall of Fame profiles, a specific Toy line, the Comic books, the online games and Transformers Go! (the Japanese show that ran during Transformers: Prime).

There's quite a bit of backstory that, for obvious reasons, isn't covered in the show, but what is included, I think, makes it work really well regardless. I don't remember entirely when more of the backstory is included but I believe it's around the second season. That's when you start getting more of the characters past (It might be earlier, but that's what I remember).
