Heh, yeah, Bridle Gossip is pretty "yikes" and isn't flattering to the M6. The point is to emphasize the moral I suppose, but it's pretty easy to judge them for it. As to Celestia, yeah, pretty natural to question her motives and actions. She paints herself from the start as the Dumbledore sort of character who puppeteers the lead into doing great things without telling them their significance.
