May Devlog (More Mink 3D, Website)

Another month, another devlog. I've been pretty busy with commissions this month, but I still have a bunch of new work to share.

Let's dive right in! 

Date a Mink 3D

Here's an updated look at Eris's character model in-engine: 

Surprisingly, Eris's model is still a bit of a work in progress. The only thing remaining that I need to do is rig her expressions, though. After that, she'll be all done and ready to animate! 

I'm really happy with how Eris turned out compared to my previous attempts at 3D modeling characters. I'm hoping I can using the techniques I learned here to make Catgirl Care's character models even better. 

I'm hoping to get to work on writing for the game over the upcoming month, which will give me a chance to finalize what assets will be needed for the project. After that, I expect I'll make a bunch more progress. 

Website

While Eris's character model and various commissions were the bulk of my work this past month, I've also decided to give a side project I've been working on higher priority. That project is a website that should make it easier to follow my work!

Ever since Tumblr banned adult content back in 2018, I've been convinced that I need a website so that I won't have to worry about websites wiping away years of my work without my consent again. More recently, payment services have been punishing any website that happens to host adult content in increasing severity. I don't believe any adult creative should be punished for posting works that don't hurt anyone. My hope with this website is that I can stop worrying about being censored and instead focus on my work.

Here's how I plan to have it set up along with some early work in progress screenshots (colors, layout, functionality, etc may change)

Gallery

My main focus for the site is the booru-like gallery system. A normal gallery would be fine, but I've drawn more than a thousand pictures and I think a system like this will make it a lot easier to browse and find specific images.

I've also designed the rest of the site to direct you to the gallery pages so that even blog posts will use the images in the gallery.

Character Bios

I'm sure a few of you have noticed that I haven't updated Meet the Girls to include all of the new succubi. Part of the reason for that is that I have been porting Meet the Girls to this website. 

This should be a much better system because all of the character's information will be on one page along with a preview of their gallery, where you can easily view all of the art of any of my characters (now including NSFW).

Blog

I don't currently have the blog template prepared, but you should expect a blog reminiscent of tumblr's blogging system (title, image, text, tags) along with RSS support (I'm open to other subscription feed options as well). I want it easy to see what's new while also allowing users to easily search for older posts without too much hassle.
