July Devlog (Website is live! Date a Mink 3D Environments!)

I know the devlog is a bit late this month, but I wanted to wait until my website was ready for you all to browse. Since you're reading this: good news! I have successfully self-hosted my website! I still need to go through and add some blog content, fill out some character bios, and tag many images, but the site is live and you can visit it!

Since I'm self-hosting the site, there may be some bugs and tweaks that'll need to be made, so expect the site to go down from time to time, but for now everything's working and I finally feel all that hard work has paid off.

Date a Mink 3D

Here's a screenshot from the first date environment in Date a Mink 3D:

My primary goal with Mink 3D is to improve the visual fidelity of my games so that when I get to Catgirl Care, everything looks right. This first environment is the first step in that process and I think it turned out fairly nice. The environment is made entirely from custom assets and runs fairly nicely.

I've also started work on the second environment for the game, Eris's bedroom. You all have seen her room before in Date a Mink and Eris' Day Off but I am trying to update the space to make it work better in 3D. I'm also trying to keep in mind what these environments will look like in VR as that will be an option. In VR, you'll be able to look around freely to see more detail including objects behind the normal camera.

Production on the game is going smoothly but slowly. I've spent so much time trying to get my site up that it has pushed back what I had hoped would end up being a very short development for Date a Mink 3D. The game will be pretty short, but I'm hoping it'll turn out very polished.
