Question about Season 2 Post Credits scenes
Added 2023-01-21 08:15:08 +0000 UTCHey everyone!!! Hope you all are having an amazing night! We just finished watching the first 2 episodes of season 2 (đ¤Żđą) but have a questionâŚ
So as you all know, me and cannon HATE spoilers, and do a lot to avoid having any pre knowledge to upcoming events in the show. Like we donât watch the intros, we donât look at episode titles etc. a lot of the YouTube comments have been telling us how important the season 2 post credits scenes are. QUESTION- since me and cannon donât like spoilers, should we watch the post credits scenes? Or are they kinda spoilers? I know a lot of people say it just hypes you up for whatâs to come, but we prefer to see everything just when it happens in the show. Let us know!!!
Comments
Personally I think everything you NEED to know is within the episode so in my opinion donâtâespecially the previews. Watch everything in âreal timeâ

2023-01-23 03:29:56 +0000 UTCJust like the S1 post credit scene, is it really a spoiler if you don't even understand what's going on? You just get the feeling like "What the hell is going on?!"
David Herrera
2023-01-22 06:28:32 +0000 UTCIn my opinion the show itself is full of "spoilers" that you don't notice until your second or third re-run. It's like those moments when you just get all confused about what's going on, and the post credit scenes do the same, they kind of fuck up with your mind and get you spiraling, and to be honest I would love to see your reactions to those scenes.
David Herrera
2023-01-22 06:23:24 +0000 UTCDonât worry, we always try to pay as much attention as we can and this is a great reminder! Definitely sometimes when things get going we can get caught up in reacting to it for sure. Need to be more mindful about that.

2023-01-22 04:42:44 +0000 UTCyou should always watch the post credit scenes. they aren't spoilers. they just a bit more information that they wanted to give to you but couldn't fit it in the episode
UI
2023-01-22 04:34:46 +0000 UTCSo first, after each episode, there will be a bit with relevant scenes that I recommend you watch THEN it'll say something like "Next time" and that will be the spoilers for the next episode, so there you should stop.

2023-01-22 04:23:44 +0000 UTCAvoid post credit scene for episode 12 of season 3 (or episode 49) because it is a major spoiler for something you'll see anyway in the next few episodes. Season 3 is split into two parts and episode 12 was the end of part 1 so they threw in a scene at the end as a sort of cliffhanger since part 2 wouldn't come out til a year later. You guys are practically binging the series so there's no point in watching this end credit scene. I'm almost certain you guys will feel spoiled if you watch it đ
Val
2023-01-22 02:57:01 +0000 UTCyea but they said they don't like spoilers and that specific post credit scene is still spoily lol
Corsair Jeffery
2023-01-22 01:53:47 +0000 UTCI was also going to mention S3 episode 49! I really liked the ending credits for that one and tell all first-time viewers to at least watch that one...I'd maybe have someone else screen it first to see if Cannon and Carter would consider it a spoiler.

2023-01-21 22:30:18 +0000 UTCI just have to add that I really think you should watch them especially s3 ep49 ending/post credit scene (iykyk)

2023-01-21 20:15:57 +0000 UTCpost credit scene - yes, previews - skip

2023-01-21 20:15:47 +0000 UTCSeason 2, if I remember correctly, doesnât contain post credit scenes. Itâs primarily season 3&4 that do. Regardless, I donât see the potential problem for yâall watching end credit scenes. When I tell yâall they are so vague itâs crazy. If you just think about how articulated the writing has been in foreshadowing just in season 1, then it is the same way in the end credit scenes. Thereâs nothing to be spoiled bc itâs all foreshadowing and you wonât know what any of it means UNTIL you see it starting to play out. Itâs like your building a puzzle and Isayama has secretly stolen some of them to only give them back a little bit at a time. Only towards the end of the show will you really start being able to piece it together and be like âoh wow Iâm starting to get it now.â So ultimately I think you should watch it. Itâs fun being confused for so long then finally realizing you understand it!

2023-01-21 20:03:34 +0000 UTCThatâs what I thought tooâI donât remember post credit scenes in 2 just 3-4

2023-01-21 19:56:29 +0000 UTCdefinitely don't watch previews for season 2 especially, you will def get spoiled

2023-01-21 19:26:54 +0000 UTCHey, I don't want to tell you guys how to watch and experience this show because I believe everyone should enjoy it in their own way, BUT.. I would suggest leaving the questions and back and forth conversations for after the episodes. When you were watching Episode 22 I noticed you guys missed a few key lines of dialogue that REALLY hit deep or are really hype. It may not be too bad of a thing right now, but in the next couple of seasons you guys will be so lost if you're not paying attention. Especially since you plan on binging it so you can be caught up when the Finale comes out. There's some really great moments I'd hate for you guys to miss because you're having full on conversations. If anything just start pausing the video if you really need to bring up the questions. Hopefully I didn't come off like a dick. I just know that when I watched it, by myself, and read every line of dialogue, I was still lost on a lot of things. I could only imagine how lost I'd be if someone was trying to converse back and forth with me.

2023-01-21 19:00:32 +0000 UTCOpening, Ending, and Post credits - yes || Previews, no.

2023-01-21 18:24:32 +0000 UTCJust watched on YouTube, you right
Jawrool
2023-01-21 16:30:17 +0000 UTCI would not watch the one at the mid point of season 3, then. I think it's fine to watch, but if you two are THAT much against mild spoilers and such, I don't think you will enjoy it.
Jag_227
2023-01-21 16:00:18 +0000 UTCWatch them !!
Sidney Rico
2023-01-21 15:52:09 +0000 UTCI never watched them! Except for the one at the end of season 1 ep 25, but there was no other season for me to get spoiled. I find that without watching them I got a clear picture of the story, but some other comments said, that as long as there is no âto be continuedâ sign you should watch and I find that a great way to not get spoiled anything.

2023-01-21 15:43:32 +0000 UTCwondering if you are gonna watch the ilse's notebook OVA
teagan
2023-01-21 15:40:01 +0000 UTCI also recommend watching the post credit scenes. Some of necessary. You might want to avoid 3x12 post credit scene. You can watch it after finishing season 3 part 2, and tell us whether it was a good decision or not. Because if you like to speculate you may get more information out of it than normal and it has the potential to ruin your free from spoilers experience. Also I think it's fine to watch the season 2 ED (ending) maybe 1 or twice, if you haven't already.
Jeffrey
2023-01-21 15:18:27 +0000 UTCYes, but as far as i know they didn't moved the content too, funimation still functions as an independent platform with its own content.
Pedu
2023-01-21 14:48:32 +0000 UTCdidnât crunchyroll buy funimation?
Xeons
2023-01-21 14:37:11 +0000 UTCYou have to watch them, they are part of the story telling as much as the episode itself for me
Sylisen E.
2023-01-21 14:28:24 +0000 UTCthe post credits definitely can have some images of things yet to come however thereâs little to zero context surrounding those images so i wouldnât categorize it as a spoiler
jordan solomon
2023-01-21 13:04:13 +0000 UTCDefinitely watch them, itâs just more of the episode, not really a spoiler. A general rule of thumb for aot is to keep watching until you see the âto be continuedâ screen, so if it doesnât pop up before the outro that means thereâs a post credits scene that you gotta watch!
Elina
2023-01-21 12:57:00 +0000 UTCPost credits are not spoilers they just add to the story
Hann Klim
2023-01-21 12:43:14 +0000 UTCThe post credits are part of the episode. It's not really a spoiler, it's more like a to be continued
H2KKI2
2023-01-21 12:23:48 +0000 UTCIf youâre talking about the next episode preview that shows at the end after the credit, DONâT WATCH IT, Unless there was a scene after the credit and before the preview, thatâs what you should watch (although I donât recall if there were any)
Monther
2023-01-21 12:16:35 +0000 UTCPost credit scene is part of the EP imo, until you see âto be continuedâŚâ.you should be fine
Xeons
2023-01-21 12:01:33 +0000 UTC1. Season 2 has no post credits scenes. 2. Most post credits scenes are important before heading into the next episode, if you didnât watch the season 1 finale post credits scene you would have been unsure why there was a titan in the wall. There is one post credits scene in season 3 which is completely unimportant despite people who will constantly tell you to watch it, itâs useless though. Write this down: post credits scenes to watch are s 3 ep 19, s 4 ep 4, s 4 ep 11, s 4 ep 23 and s 4 ep 27
Sean Carroll
2023-01-21 11:51:35 +0000 UTCYes to watching the post credit scenes. They leave you with more questions than answers/spoilers. It will initiate great speculation talk. In regards to s3x12, you get zero context to the scene so it leaves you speculating until the very scene comes up. It definitely adds to the suspense and doesnt take anything away from it. The post credit scenes are intended to be watched which is why the 'to be continued' frame doesnt come up until after the scene. It is all part of the watching experience. Just like the post credit scene of s1x25. The suspense isn't the same when they reveal it at the start of s2x01. Having it revealed in the post credit scene added to the suspense going into the next episode. I can understand avoiding the intros but post credit scenes are completely different as they are still part of the running episode. Although you guys will enjoy the show anyhow, I think not watching the post credit scenes takes away from the full experience that was intended

2023-01-21 11:05:53 +0000 UTCI believe you're confusing post credit scenes with the preview that shows the next episode DO watch post credit scenes, if there are any DON'T watch the preview for the next episode
Leon
2023-01-21 10:48:33 +0000 UTCDefinitely watch
Khai GK
2023-01-21 10:47:40 +0000 UTCThe best way to know about a post credits scene is if the "to be continued..." doesn't show up before the intro. The post credits give context to scenes that'll seem very confusing without them. Particularly, there's a huge moment in season 4 you'll be massively confused about without seeing the post credits
Devzy 793
2023-01-21 10:44:53 +0000 UTCThere are no post Credits in season 2 I think some in season 3 and definitely season 4
Prince Diamond
2023-01-21 10:41:30 +0000 UTCthere is a scene during the credits of 3x49 (3x12). some might disagree with me, but i feel like like you should definitely watch it when you get there.
esie âĄď¸
2023-01-21 10:34:57 +0000 UTCIts basically a trailer for the next episode
sesaka
2023-01-21 10:32:50 +0000 UTCi did end up checking all the post credit scenes in season 2 and they are all previews. do not watch.
esie âĄď¸
2023-01-21 10:28:37 +0000 UTCin my opinion, i would skip. typically post credit scenes will just play right after the credits and in AoT sometimes during the credits, and if that happens, then yes do watch it but if after the credits play, and it says âpreviewâ, donât watch it. it may be unique to the show by the dialogue, but for your first watch, i would skip. if you want to ever watch it again (which is an amazing experience) then watch everything.
esie âĄď¸
2023-01-21 10:27:00 +0000 UTCRule of thumb is if there is no "To Be Continued" screen before the credits, then there is a post-credits scene you should watch.
Robin Gonzalez
2023-01-21 10:11:37 +0000 UTCExcept s3e12. If they say they hate any form of spoiler, that one is a no no. But other post credit scenes are totally fine lol
lydia
2023-01-21 10:03:37 +0000 UTCprobably the best recommendation here
JIMBO
2023-01-21 09:27:39 +0000 UTCI'm in the same boat of not watching the material after credits, but some stuf is original content and you can usually tell what's the preview of the next episode and what is post credit content
JIMBO
2023-01-21 09:25:56 +0000 UTCItâs part of the episode. You should definitely watch it
Sapirhr
2023-01-21 09:10:15 +0000 UTCimo opinion no,watched the intros etc from the start and didn't spoil it for me and it was made in that order so
Linnea anderson
2023-01-21 09:10:08 +0000 UTCpretty sure in aot the post credit scenes aren't necessarily previews, they're unique and are meant to be watched on the episode
kiiturii
2023-01-21 09:09:41 +0000 UTCYou can watch
Bemi Exauce
2023-01-21 09:01:52 +0000 UTCWhat are these comments on about!? The episode is not over until you see the To Be Continued screen. That is all. Every other opinion about them being spoilers is false, itâs context that adds to the current events of the show.
Jawrool
2023-01-21 08:59:28 +0000 UTCI recommend you to watch AOT on Funimation. I know the subs can be crappy at times, but they are the single platform that streams the blu-ray version. It has lots of reenchanced shots, better shading and colors, bonus shots and added elements. Do it at least for the final season, becausee of the change of studio there were a ton of visual glitches in the TV version.
Pedu
2023-01-21 08:49:02 +0000 UTCPost credits BEFORE "to be continued" are part of the end of the episode. Definitely watch them! If its the 15 seconds after the "to be continued" then I'd say nah. Yall already watchin so quickly, no need to be excited for next weeks episode lol.
TheBookerDeWitt
2023-01-21 08:42:07 +0000 UTCI think you're thinking of s3 part 1 (s3e12)
Flare
2023-01-21 08:37:48 +0000 UTCYou should watch the post credit scene only if the "To be continued" card is not shown before the outro. Everything that is after the to be continued is just a preview of the next episode. The single exception is ep 49. As for the intros and outros you should definetly react to all of them after you finish the show.
Pedu
2023-01-21 08:36:30 +0000 UTCNah, I don't think there's any in season 2 actually. They're mostly 3 and 4

2023-01-21 08:33:30 +0000 UTCPost credits scenes - yes Preview for the next episode - redundant currently, due to the binge no?
chaosmerchant
2023-01-21 08:32:46 +0000 UTCYou should definitely watch post credits scenes but those are different to previews. If you're unsure, for AOT, a post credit scene will be shown always before the 'to be continued' screen (not the end song). Every time a post credit scene is shown, it is meant to be seen. Previews for the next episode are what you should skip.

2023-01-21 08:31:54 +0000 UTCDo season 2 have post credit scene spoilers?? I donât rememberđ¤ But Iâm sure you will hate season 3 part 1âs post credit scene spoiler. So make sure you donât watch that one!

2023-01-21 08:23:01 +0000 UTCYou definitely should watch the post credit scenes. Not sure why people are saying not to, they're there TO be watched on a first time viewing. The intros are kinda spoilery so I get why you guys don't watch those, but the post credits scenes are important to watch. A lot of them are like the one you guys saw in the season finale, they pretty much just tease you and make you ask questions The only one that you might not want to see is the one on s3e12. It basically shows a tiny bit of a crazy scene that will happen in the future. Personally I'd say you should watch this one too because you'll have no idea what's going on, it's purely there to cause the viewer to speculate what's happening and its pretty crazy how they do it. It's a huge moment for reactors in general. Just make sure you guys don't watch the next episode previews that are at the end of every episode (I'm sure you guys already skip those)
Flare
2023-01-21 08:20:55 +0000 UTCI donât really remember Season 2 having post credit scenes. But thereâs a bunch in Season 3 and 4. But since you guys are quite adamant about steering clear of any possible spoilers, just keep doing what youâre doing and avoid them.

2023-01-21 08:20:46 +0000 UTCI don't recall season 2 having any post credit scene though

2023-01-21 08:20:07 +0000 UTCI don't know why they're saying that it is a spoiler, they wouldn't put it there if we weren't meant to watch it smh.

2023-01-21 08:18:45 +0000 UTCWas it really season 2 though? I donât recall anything spoilerish so much you have to avoid it at all cost.
Proximity94
2023-01-21 08:18:08 +0000 UTCI donât really think theyâre all that necessary. Most of the time I donât watch them. And I think since you guys are going the extra length of not watching the intros or even the episode titles, I donât think you should. As others have stated the end credit scenes are only for episodes that donât end with the âTo Be Continuedâ sign. If they end with the sign then youâll just see a little trailer for the next episode
Jake the Movie Geek
2023-01-21 08:18:08 +0000 UTCNo, don't watch

2023-01-21 08:17:27 +0000 UTCPretty much you have to watch any post credits if the âto be continuedâŚâ hasnât popped up because that mean theyâre important; but if the âto be continuedâ screen has already happened itâs worthless
