Anyone who says they shouldn't watch the episode 12 post credit is FUCKING DISABLED TROGLODYTE. It's a very unique moment and is part of the experience of the show. It was designed to not spoil, they will have no clue what's happening and it's an extremely sick scene. Its a major mind fuck and adds a LOT of suspense and tension, they would be missing out majorly without seeing it. Swear to god comment section dont ruin this for them

Ok I get the whole not trying to spoil things but man that post credit scene is apart of the AOT experience and it’s such a waste to gatekeep that part. When you actually think about it, it doesn’t actually spoil major plot points. It’s set up in a way just to add more hype for the anime, that’s it and keeping the guys from watching it is like making them miss out on what makes AOT so amazing. Those type of things in the anime adds to what makes the AOT experience worth watching at the end of the day, the post credit scene is there to be watched by everyone

They really shouldn't watch the post credits scene of episode 12. It's not the usual style of post credits, it's more like a spoilery teaser for stuff that happens partway into the next season which for people who had to wait for the next season was fine, but they don't have to wait they can just go right into the next season. There's no reason to watch what is basically a teaser for partway into the next season.

honestly i was really hoping you guys would watch the post credit scene of ep. 12 but i now think it’s better that you don’t (or didn’t). Cannon and Carter are so smart when it comes to watching this and they would definitely be able to piece something together by the time they got to the actual episode. i think it’s an amazing scene and a crazy teaser if you have to wait months to watch the second cour but if you’re binging it like they are, they’re gonna pick up on something even if it’s not actually a spoiler. seeing as how they want no hints to anything, it understandable. it’s still such an insane scene even after watching everything. it will never gets old and will always hold up. can’t wait for you guys to see it.

It is also to be noted that humanity has not witnessed any wars for 100 years because the MP took out insurgent elements just like Sannes confessed. So this is the first time they are witnessing human on human conflict and are in the middle of an insurgency/civil war. As you rightly pointed out, Armin is acutely aware of that that they are fighting/killing humans because of difference in beliefs and ideologies, unlike titans who pose a direct survival threat to humans.

I love Armin so much. When people can only see the fact that 'their friends got killed', Armin can see so much more. He sees beyond the fact that the people killed his friends, he sees the motives behind it, he sees more aspect of a person. He knows no one just kill people for no reason, and he sees the fact that just like the one who killed their friends, he killed someone's friends as well for the sake of his own friends. His morals and his mind is crystal clear. He knows that even tho he killed a person out of a good intend, he is not excused. He knows that he is a murderer. SPOILERS TILL EP. 10 - Levi does not know his last name, nor Kenny's last name (till episode 4, when the captured MP reveals Kenny's full name). Kenny is the first person to refer to Levi using his full name (in this episode) because obviously Kenny knows his relationship to Levi. Everyone knows Mikasa Ackermann's full name (it is public knowledge). Even when Levi is asking Mikasa about her last name and whether she is related to Kenny in episode 5, he does not reveal his connection to Kenny (maybe he doesn't know that he himself is an Ackermann after all!). I think, before Kenny passes away, he says that 'we Ackermanns resisted the first king', which prompts Levi to ask him - 'who are you to my mother'. The 'we Ackermanns' tells him his own last name, as well as him and Kenny sharing the same family name.

Everything about Levi v Kenny Squad is peak animation. It's so fluid and dynamic to the point that things are just happening at an insane pace. When Levi flies into the bar and it all just comes to a stop I always get chills.

Tbh I can understand people’s frustration at first because I kind of felt that way. Only because I was already caught up with the manga at the time and I had to wait for a new chapter every month💀. That anticipation and eagerness of wanting to find out what happens next is just something you had to experience yourself. It was like a mix of suffering and exhilaration. Once the new chapter would upload, I would read them in like 10-15 minutes and immediately be like “I NEED MORE!!!!!!”

when i first saw the show i was super frustrated because like carter was saying they set up sooo many questions in season 2 and just completely diverted away from them. i didnt know where the story was going. it didnt feel like “real” attack on titan. but in retrospect and on rewatching its so worth it because they’re laying a lot of the ground work for you to understand everything when they finally drop the answers.

They could have tried to solve all the questions that you listed Carter (Ragako village, etc.) but as we know from the last episode, the government has frozen the Scouts activites until they hand over Historia and Eren (which they get anyway this episode). I completely understand you feeling a little off (I felt it too when I was reading it for the first time), but I hope the mysteries of this season quickly pull you in, just as it did for me (will be looking forward in your future reactions!!)

When first reading the manga, I found this change of pace and direction in the story so refreshing and intriguing. Even though I missed the Titan action, the political intrigue and internal conflicts that arise from our characters as well as the kind of “chess game” each faction is playing with each other immediately hooked me. And this arc also providing more plot and character revelation and context to things that were hinted at previously is just masterful storytelling on Isayama’s part.

Fun fact: it took the animators 3 months to animate the Levi fight scene in this episode! None of us are surprised because the quality of the animation is one of the best in all of anime history. I love how this fight alone shows us how Levi really is THE master of ODM gear because we have never seen a character maneuver ODM gear as quickly or efficiently as Levi does! I shall end with a little inside joke between AOT fans Animator on the phone with their family: “yes honey, it’s another Levi scene. Tell the kids I love them and will see y’all in couple of months” 😂
