Plus way too long and too many fillers. Definitely a skip. Better shounens would be Hunter x Hunter, One Punch Man, JJK, Demon Slayer, etc.

But no anime or show in general has ever made me feel as emotionally involved or hit me as hard as Naruto has. I grew up with Marvel, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and Harry Potter…but none of them have hit me as hard as Naruto.

But what is truly amazing about the show is the detail of the history of everything. You get to see the master's master's master's master's master's training and that's no joke. How everything is passed down, everyone started as a student and had to work hard, and how someone who was hated by everyone became everyone's hero. Absolutely amazing story, highly recommend. And I know the number of episodes seems daunting, but don't think about that and just start it. It's a masterpiece.

There is nowhere near enough information to even figure out the conclusion of the episode, maybe if you slowed it down and analyzed every frame but even that's a stretch. "no benefit of watching?" you can't be serious. The amount of suspense and tension generated by that scene is crazy, idk how it's possible to not appreciate that. Either way, why on earth should anyone listen to your judgment of how the show should be watched over Isayama's plan? I might be too passionate about the show, but I honestly think its one of the most important stories humanity has created and I hate to see someone else's watch even slightly ruined by stupidity like this

There is no benefit of watching, but it can spoil people who look and think about it. Imo getting there in chronological order is a much more enjoyable viewing order, even if it's not how Isayama or the makers of the show wanted it. It was designed to not spoil, they will have no clue what's happening and it's an extremely sick scene. Personally I would love for these guys to react to Naruto. It is convenient for them to do so as Naruto is a huge in the top animes with a huge fan base. It honestly gets interesting as the seasons go. If this were to happen I’m sure many of us would be in the ride from the first to last episode. It would also encourage those who dislike it or just don’t want to watch everything and have only seen the tip of the iceberg to watch everything!

The worst season is definitely the 2nd, too much wasted potential for the Civil War arc, and it tries to do too much with the Dark Avatar stuff. I will say they stuck the landing with Season 3 from Season 2 though, Zaheer and his crew were top tier villains, the entire storyline of the new Airbenders was honestly really interesting. Also, I have an inkling you guys wouldn't really love SAO, but I'd love to see you guys give it a try, or at least hear about you guys giving it a try. SAO has a lot of general anime tropes and stuff that you've talked about not liking in the past before, but really the only weak part is the 2nd arc of Season 1, everything else is either good or great in my opinion, just unfortunate that most people don't get past Season 1 because of all the stigma and a lot of it unfortunately being correct around the 2nd arc.

The first season was okay purely because of the nostalgia, but it in no way compares to AtLA. Last Airbender is still to this day one of my all-time favorite shows. I usually binge the whole show at least once a year haha! I really didn't like what they did with Korra. That's totally a personal opinion though... You guys should watch Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood next!! FMA is a close second to AoT!! Also Sword Art Online is seriously underrated! That's one I go back to rewatch all the time as well!!

I watched Naruto as a teenager and loved it back then. But I would never suggest it to today's teenagers. I'd rather suggest stuff like My Hero Academia or Jujutsu Kaisen to them. I feel like most animation quality in the past doesn't hold up to today's standards (there are plenty that do though, Attack on Titan being one of them). It would be like telling someone who owns an Xbox Series X to play a game on the first Xbox that came out during the 2000's. It would be hard for them to appreciate how great of a show it was back then compared to a critically acclaimed show that came out this year because of the advancement of animation quality alone. Cannon & Carter's bar have been set ridiculously high by having AoT being the first anime they react to. I can only count with 2 hands the amount of anime titles that are on par with AoT (regardless of genre), and Naruto isn't one of them lol.

I didn't get into when I was younger, and I don't see myself starting now. Family and friends have, but not myself. I guess I was pre-occupied with other things and there are just too many episodes to get into the show. In fact, I'm still in the middle of season 3 of GoT. Gotta finish that as well. I hardly remember much of the details of the episodes of ATLA. I know the overall story and lore, but it was so long ago for me. I loved the show and the characters are unforgettable. I want to rewatch it but the nostalgia bug hasn't bit me yet. I also enjoyed the series with Korra. Not as good as the first, but it was a worthwhile expansion into the world of Avatar. Though, in my area, not sure how it was for others, the show moved from primetime kid's slot to online only due to the decline in viewership, which was disappointing.

I'm not recommending it to the anime haters, I think that show it's like self-torture to watch specially for the manga readers. Still, I love the show, animation, maturity, soundtrack, charachters, its a crazy watch. There's the classic release, the OVAs remake, the 2016-18 continuation and if I were to recommend it to anyone, I would say the recently released memorial edition (Yeah, the same arc has 3 different editions). Cannon mentioned that a show that makes you emotional (happiness, sadness, anger, etc.) it's a good show, and that's one of the reasons I love and have rewatched it many times.

She wasn't built for saving the world, and from there we watch her grow as she's forced to fight these fights and lose a lot. Being an avatar gives you the ability to learn all the elements, it doesn't give you automatic mastery of them and it doesn't give you righteous personality either, in atla we saw glimpses of a few other avatars who were way worse than korra, like the guy who just used his powers to get girls. If what you prefer in shows is a powerful mc then sure, you can definitely have that opinion, but I don't think it qualifies as a critique of the show

I did really love it though and I just recently finished it in October and it’s one of my favorite anime’s to date but it is daunting because it is such a long anime but I’m glad that I stuck with it because once I started it I couldn’t stop watching it.

She exposed Amon but didn’t really win that fight either, he ran away. Not to mention she temporarily lost 3 of elements in that fight. She beat Unalaq (with help from Jinora) but lost her connection to the past avatars. She beat Zaheer (with help from the Airbenders) but couldn’t walk for months after that & still wasn’t 100% 3 years later. Then her 3-year absence led to Kuvira becoming a dictator. Korra beat Kuvira but half off republic city was destroyed in the process.

I stopped watching those when I grow up and when AOT s4 came out, a writer I followed was talking about this is a masterpiece about human and history so I picked this up, best decision. I remember when I first watched Naruto (first 200 episodes) during my freshman year I really loved it and it became my favorite Anime but didn't continue for a couple years. I picked it up after I watched AOT but didn't last long because it's too long and so many unnecessary and repeated episodes so I won't recommend to you 'anime haters'. I haven't watched fullmetal alchemist yet but it got mentioned a lot when people compare it to AOT so I guess it must be really good as well.

Also there are a lot of flashbacks that get shown an unnecessary amount of times, fillers that you have to worry about skipping & the pacing is bad (imo). I think when it comes to filler filled series, reading the manga might be better just because you can skip them. Here's some other good series that are more story driven and don't have filler Violet Evergarden Erased Parastye The Maxim Death Parade Don't give up on anime, there's hidden gems out there, I promise! Also, Korra was NOT better than ATLA BUT it did great on expanding the world of Avatar. I'm excited for their new series/movies in a few years.

The best way to do that is by watching Naruto Kai, which has 72 episodes, each corresponding to one manga volume, with all the padding and fillers cut out. While the story and characters of Naruto are fantastic, it does have those goofy comedic anime elements that tends to turn people off. Still, ignoring those, it's an amazing story. Death Note is probably better for 'anime haters' though. It's similar to AoT in tone and maturity.

Since you guys really like AoT, I would suggest checking out any of the anime produced by Mappa (they produced AoT). On that list, Vinland Saga is my second favorite, and I'm currently waiting on season 2 to finished so that I can binged that series.

2023-02-12 00:57:33 +0000 UTCPlease point me in the direction of a sequel that is at the same time so different, but still builds the world and characters in a creative and respectful manner the way the Legend of Korra does. I think on average Korra has higher highs and lower lows than atla. As for Naruto, there was a 7-8 year gap between my friends telling me to watch it and me watching it. Ended up watching both shows in the span of 4 months. Skip everything labeled filler (at first) though, it's not worth it and saves you 250 eps.

The show has incredible fight scenes and animation but thats really all it has to offer imo. they would hate the show after like 1 episode of zenitsu.

I grew up with this show and the characters so I definitely think Naruto is more carried by nostalgia, which is not a bad thing. i rewatched it with my brother who had never seen it and it honestly doesn’t hold up as I thought it did. There were so many times in the show where I would lose interest and the pacing is just awful. It unfortunately suffers as it was long running so that’s why there are so many fillers so they wouldn’t catch up to the manga. It’s still one of my favorites though. How you are wondering? It just is lmao. Shippuden is amazing, I love it but I don’t think it’s a show Carter and Cannon would enjoy. On the other hand, One Piece is a long running anime with lots of fillers (not as much) and 1,050 episodes. It’s a master piece. I never wanted to watch it cause it was just too long but my brother forced me to watch it and I’m so glad he did and that it’s still coming out every week. Also ATLA is way better than Korra. End of my rant and I will continue the video!

ATLA was more focused and effective. But hey what do I know lol

2023-02-12 00:39:07 +0000 UTCthe studios changed because after season 3 the production company started immediately advertising season 4 as “the final season” and wanted it out ASAP to run alongside the hype of the manga which was starting to wrap up. So season 3 ended in 2019 and they wanted season 4 out by fall 2020… and we all know what happened that year lol. basically the original animation studio quit the job because even before covid it was too much for them. The new studio had to deal with that rushed production schedule AND covid so the animation for season 4 part 1 might seem a little weird/downgraded in places. It got better in part 2 and based on the trailer, looks to be top tier for part 3. On top of that the manga ended up going for longer than anticipated so thats why theres been the controversy the past few years with the final season having to be split up into multiple parts. It will end for good soon though 😭

I like demon slayer but rn i think they would just drop it. heck, even i'm annoyed by certain scenes lmao. there is so many mature shows out there, and i like naruto and stuff but i can definitely see why someone not used to anime would not enjoy it.

Fruits Basket is my second favorite anime, and I'm not gonna immediately suggest they go for a romance/slice of life. Demon Slayer's great, but it has so many tropes they hate (bc everything they hate is just the basic shonen format), and it has a much simpler story than aot. The combination wouldn't work well, especially since they're starting off as anime haters and not just curious, neutral viewers. There's tons of stuff they would probably like, why not start there lol

2023-02-12 00:24:32 +0000 UTCi think korra has some things that are better than avatar. its been a while since i watched it but i remember thinking season 3 was on par with the best of avatar and liking how the later parts of the story were a lot more “mature”. I never saw Avatar until I was 19 in the beginning of the covid quarantine era, so I related a lot more to Korra’s struggles and development than I did with Aang even though i recognize that Avatar was way better. Towards the end of the show when she was struggling with depression and such were surprisingly relatable. I think something people always say is that Aang was a peaceful avatar when the world needed a warrior to defeat the fire nation, and Korra was a warrior avatar when the world needed a peaceful diplomat. it’s interesting

I also think they'd like Death Note because it really keeps you on the edge of your seat with suspense but also very anxiety inducing 😅

2023-02-11 23:35:15 +0000 UTCAOT is truly one of a kind and for it to be your first anime it’s a tough act to follow tbh 🫠I also totally get that cannon and carter would not be about watching animes with a crazy amount of eps either…if I hadn’t been watching some of the older ones as a kid I think I would also be turned off by something with that many episodes (especially since the pacing of some of these shows is atrocious lol). There are some other animes out there that I feel like you guys might still enjoy depending on the poll that’ll come after you finish AOT, so let’s see when the time comes hahah. And yes ATLA is in its own league sorry Korra

To me, I liked that the setting was more modern and I felt like the villains were more complex as well as the plot. Regarding Naruto, there are 2 series, Naruto and Naruto Shippuden. Just an idea, but how about Brig gives you a summary of Naruto and then maybe you watch the best arcs from the series, and then just watch Naruto Shippuden since it is better anyways? There are a lot of episodes, but a lot of those are filler that most people skip.

Also being a fan of AoT doesn't necessarily mean you'll like any other anime either, because it is really special. But there are definitely a lot out there that are incredibly high quality, and on the same level. I rate stuff like Vinland Saga super highly for example because it's such a solid story where the writers know exactly what they're doing, and then you have Naruto that honestly I think is a bit of a mess 😂 But to each their own 🤙🏼
