That post credit scene is still just so good. The timing of it is incredible because its placed right after a feel good moment when Erwin is cheering with the townspeople and its like a hype send off, then the To Be Continued hits and you think its over. NOPE. The credits get interrupted in the most feral way possible then they show that scene like that. Insane. I remembered the scene, but totally forgot about the distorted audio and stuff when the credits get interrupted.

There are so many red herrings and plot twists constantly thrown at you that your suspicions and imagination takes over. It's honestly not that wild of a thought dude, as for how similar or not they look in certain scenes they look extremely similar and in others not so much, you also hardly see Beast guy by this point like a couple of scenes and extremely brief.

The part where brig says he would be trippin if he watched that after credits scene alone late at night is literally exactly what happened to me, it was like 2:00am and I was binging the show and this was going to be the last episode I watched before I went to bed. I was so hyped when I saw the credits scene after the Erwin yell and everything. So there I was watching the credits alone with my headphones all the way up when out of nowhere my ears just got blasted out by Levi and it scared the hell out of me, then I just got chills like never before watching the rest of it. I was ready to go to bed all happy and then I just got hit with that nightmare fuel. It was messed up man.

man people always thinking the Beast Titan is Erwin's dad is always so goofy to me. It literally makes no sense when you think about it past the very surface level observation that they look kinda similar (blonde, with beard). The Beast of now looks younger than Erwin's dad looked when Erwin was a kid. The Beast Titan literally has no clue about ODM gear or anything about the Scouts or how they fight titans, while Erwin's dad was a conspiracy theorist and obviously lived in the walls so he'd know what ODM gear would be and what language they all speak. When you think about it even a little, Erwin's dad being the Beast makes absolutely no sense at all and can't be possible.

I agree with Brig about this episode being a great twist for Erwin's character (Along with the rest of this season). To me, he is arguably the most well-written character in this show. He's my second favorite behind Eren. There's so much depth to him beneath the noble leader persona.

I always watch openings, endings, and next episode previews, so I was just letting the credits roll, scrolling through stuff on my phone when I heard the credits glitch. Freaked me out so much. Also, i don't think anyone has mentioned this yet, the part where Eren said "you should learn how to respect your mom, Jean-boy" is a reference to one of the OVAs where Jean was the main character. It is set back in their training days, it's a very lighthearted little story, i recommend watching it after you finish the series. It's pretty fun and nostalgic after knowing everything that goes down in the show. It doesn't add anything to the main plotline, but maybe builds up Jean's character a tiny bit more. Just his background and where he came from. The title is "A sudden visitor".

You guys can answer whether it mattered or not I guess, but the logic of not watching the end credit scene is that it shows them at odds and then later on when they talk about the syringe and Erwin and Armin both die it's immediately understood one is coming back whereas that realization might not happen until flock shows up with Erwin depending on the person. Tbh not that big of a deal lol, and the studio themselves did it for a reason anyways.

they have the benefit of watching it with prior knowledge that the show gets insane and that they should pay attention to stuff. also watching it with friends and with clear breaks in between chunks of the show where they put time aside to theorize and discuss and bounce ideas off each other. most people probably just binge watched it all the way through by themselves. im lowkey jealous because they have such a better understanding and appreciation for the smaller things than most people did on their first watch.
