If Zeke just runs/monkey swings around the city picking up rocks and chugging them at Reiner, there really doesn't seem to be much that Reiner can do since his armored titan is too slow to ever catch him.

Cannot imagine how Armin must've felt in that moment. I mean, these poor guys were given a kind of Sofie's choice and I remember feeling sick to my stomach, just like Cannon, when they were arguing about the syringe. The sadness gave way to disgust at having to choose which person to die...Isayama really twisted the knife that he stabbed in our hearts here

Eren personally takes down the Colossal who was the number one enemy and the face of evil in the beginning of the show. They finally take back the wall that was broken all the way back then, and finally go to the basement. This is where new AoT starts.

Cannon's frustrated couch slam, the pure despair and brokenness from Carter after Armin gives his life for the cause. Unfiltered emotion. That'd what every viewer is here for. This episode is named "Hero", but it's impossible to decide which character embodies that title the most.

I know this is just a show and it may not be a big deal, but it's ok to cry because otherwise all those emotions can build up and have an effect on your health (like headaches, strees, blood pressure). Well, I hope that he does cry irl and that he just wanted to save face for this episode.

I couldn't really understand but also couldn't get my eyes off him, then he explained at the end how he gets angry instead of crying so it was a combination of both, and still we could see him sneakily wiping tears. It was a rollercoaster of emotions watching the reactions and I deeply thank you for sharing.

You’re just as sad and emotionally exhausted as the characters are at that point, so you feel like you’re right there with them instead of jumping straight into depression

2023-02-19 06:53:47 +0000 UTCThis episode is why I love AOT so much. They put you in this situation of utter hopelessness and end it with utter hopelessness. It stays true to the intent. There’s no saving grace moment that makes everything better at the end. None of those “hype” tropes where the Protagonist gets this fiery rage and overcomes the impossible and everything is all dandy afterward. Eren succeeds, yes; but all of those characters still die, all of that buildup has finally peaked and now falling into place. Everyone is dispersed and stranded making the viewers feel ever bit of what they feel. It’s a perfect heart wrenching experience that’s not undone by any overly hopeful moments. Obviously Eren has captured Bert and Reiner is defeated (not dead), but the utter hopelessness is still there because there is quite literally no one left. Stories like this are why I love writing. Any author that can make the viewer/reader feel completely and fully succumbed to an emotion is an author well deserving of an award. Also big virtual hugs out to Cannon and Carter 🫂 Welcome, where we’re all in Spain without the S. But Fr tho now y’all can soon numb the pain by watching AOT Junior High

Obviously the majority of people really like it but with reactors there's always that thought in the back of your mind that its fake or at least exaggerated. haven't really seen anyone genuinely get emotional/upset, and in a way that feels tangible, not just some tears and saying "oh no that's so sad." it seems like everyone here was genuinely in awe even the three who have already seen it. its definitely cool and refreshing to see

Still yet to recover from the last episode and still processing what's happening on screen. This is first reaction I can recall where they didn't celebrate or scream when Mikasa blasted Reiner nor when Eren cut out Bertolt. I was spoiled, by Youtube comments, that the burnt body on the rooftop in the post credit scene was Armin. But that didn't matter. I still cried when Armin gave up his life and entrusted Eren to reach the sea for both of them. It was a bittersweet moment when they managed to take down, not one, but both Reiner and Bertolt back to back, only to lose Armin and Erwin in the fight.

I think they said in the beginning that the viewers wanted them to watch 16, 17 and 18 together and I am telling myself, who are these sadistic individuals to say that 😂 I think they want to see if the next one may perhaps restore their hopes, but 18 is by far the saddest of the three, at least to me! 16 is them making a plan/choice, 17 is the execution of the plan with great heroic sacrifice, and 18 is just choosing whom to save and whom to kill??? Every single time an AOT fan is trying to get someone into the show, this is THE moment they have in the back of their mind, just praying and hoping they can make it there. Of course Season 2 Episode 6 Warrior is the first big one, but this is the promised land. This is why the show has some of the highest ranked IMDB episodes of all time, this is where the show elevates to being pure GOATed television. And man, its hard to believe it, but it gets better. I don't want to get too weird here but I have lots of appreciation for you guys and I'm really glad you made it this far. You guys are the same age as me, and actually remind me of my friends and I in terms of dynamic and personalities and interests (as far as I can tell just watching online). Lots of my friends have similar tastes to me, I've sat down and shown them Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Game of Thrones, etc... but unfortunately no one's bitten the bullet on Attack on Titan yet. I can't tell you how many times I've tried so hard to convey how this is one of the greatest shows I've ever seen but Americans in general are so close-minded to anime. Even though this is probably the most mainstream anime in Western culture of our generation and they know that I have good taste and would only recommend fire to them, there's still resistance. I'm honestly kind of jealous that Jackson, Brig, and McKay are getting to do this with you guys (Carter and Cannon) and even more so that you guys are 100% into it. So yeah just keep it up, its a crazy ride from here.
