NOTE - The mic audio for some reason did not sound that great, so I had to resort to the audio from the camera and isnt as good as normal. But regardless so pumped for this!

I haven't watched this show yet but because of you guys I plan to buy Disney+ for a month after all episodes of season 3 drop and binge it so I can watch your reactions and they'll make sense lol

It's a pretty stand alone show, but at the same time you won't be able to understand absolutely everything and all the references, but I think it'd still be a good watch. Watching the movies out of order however is completely different, considering they follow certain characters and in chronological order. (Except for Rogue One) But if you're going to watch any of the movies, I'd watch the original trilogy (A new hope, The empire strikes back and Return of the Jedi) considering The Mandalorian takes place some years after the events in Return of The Jedi. But it's not very relevant anyway. I say go for it

2023-03-02 17:50:35 +0000 UTCIt's really hit or miss, which makes it hard to care. The difference in quality between Rogue One/Andor and the sequels/Kenobi is really something. Also, regarding the EU, I remember hearing Kathleen Kennedy say "there wasn't any source material" regarding the sequels. Always found that hilarious.

Better off starting from the beginning. Maybe you guys watched the first two seasons, which is okay. But jumping into it here, I don't know. Looking forward to the rest of the AOT stuff though. Edit: this is coming from an actual hard core Star Wars fan. I read most of the EU (Expanded Universe) books before the sequels ever existed. I love star wars. But Disney really has just ruined it all for me lol. If you like the new stuff then that's cool. Not for me though.

2023-03-02 06:10:26 +0000 UTCTo address the timeline confusion around whether there's people on Mandalore: Sabine studying at the imperial academy on Mandalore happened before the events of Rebels - the Purge was after Rebels. The Seige at the end of TCW was only the beginning of years of imperial occupation, they didn't bomb until years later when it was clear they couldn't control Mandalorians. So there's not much left on the planet, probably no people.
