When hange said "can you see them (our fallen comrades)?" I began the grief process because Erwin said something similar right before he died.. and it ties in beautifully with the confirmation that they really are there watching over them

They reanimated it to make it the same as the manga because they changed some important parts that are important to the end of the manga. I can't say too much without spoilers, just know it's an important addition/fix.

So I can understand why some people do not like Japanese anime. Still, there are many anime worth watching. Among them, AOT is exceptional, and this quality in TV animation is miraculous. I never thought I would be so addicted to AOT. I never thought I would be chasing after other people's reaction videos! So even more so, I am glad the day has come when you say, "I don't know how people can dislike this work.

Had to filter out to top 100 to find the first op episode on there while there was a point 2-3 yrs ago where 20 out of imdbs top 40 episodes in an any series was aot eps. Aot may be shorter than one piece but every episode keeps you on edge. It just clears one piece off the earth sorry buddy.

I'll let you read: "The scene with Eren and Ramzi is so much sadder when you realize that Ramzi was sticking close to Eren in the part 2 finale. He was trying to cheer Eren up during that party because he didn't want him to be sad. He was a boy who wanted to help his family but also was willing to help people in need. Those children clinging to their very last coins, trampled under the feet of burning hatred in a world that denied them freedom. And if you remember, the boy speaks a different language. So he truly couldn't fathom or understand why Eren was crying. He died without ever knowing the reason why. And that is truly tragic. And Eren visualizes all of that tragedy as beauty and freedom. To the point that he regresses back into a child, before he knew any of the harsh reality. To avoid the pain and trauma of what he's doing, he sees it all as freedom. Now, moving onto Floch. A lot of the fandom is split on that guy as a person. But as a character, he was certainly wild. After surviving that initial charge against Zeke, he figured his purpose was to revive the devil in Erwin. The only way they could survive was because of a Devil. But he was denied that wish. Until he eventually found a Devil in Eren. He was the Sole survivor of that mission. To avoid anyone on the Island ever having to go through that again, Floch himself became a Devil. He was the Sole Survivor again out of his squad during the initial attack against the Cart Titan. But still he fought. Even when he had to defend the Port against his former comrades. Even when he had to fight against several Titan shifters and an Ackerman, he still fought. Even after getting shot in the shoulder, he anchored himself to the ship and let himself be dragged through the sea for a CHANCE at stopping the Alliance. Because in Floch's eyes, stopping Eren won't suddenly make the rest of the world stop hating Eldians. They'll still try to annihilate everyone on the Island. All of the sacrifices, everyone who died would all be for naught. In the end, Floch became the Devil he was looking for. Fitting that like with Erwin, Hange was the one to close his eyes and lay him to rest. Speaking of Hange, she's been suffering with self-doubt for a while. She felt she could never live up to Erwin's legacy. That she couldn't handle the pressure. That he made a mistake choosing her. She and the Government of Paradise didn't have any contingency plans in place if Marley didn't agree to have a peace treaty with the Eldians. She blames herself for Eren and Zeke turning to such extremes. Which is why she tells Yelena and Floch that they were both right. Zeke, Floch and Eren did what they did because she couldn't offer up any solutions. Sad that she couldn't ride Pieck like she wanted. But she understood that it was her turn. Her turn to show her comrades what they died for. Moblit saved her from the heat of a Colossal Titan last time. But there's no Moblit anymore. Her time came. Her wings of freedom shone brightly. And then burned to ash along with her. She and Floch both fought to the end. They both devoted their hearts for the cause they believed in. May they both rest." alexinator9000

They were never created to fight for an empire, a nation (The Paradis concept of the nation only took shape in season 4). They've been like that since season 1 and they didn't choose to gain freedom through genocide, which will take the freedom of billions of people The scout soldiers who chose to fight in the name of "the empire" were the ones who changed, but it was an understandable change. The problem here is the way they show it, their patriotism is not wrong, but the way they do it is completely wrong. Many people compare Floch to Erwin but they are not the same. Although Erwin bets everything and can sacrifice a lot of people, he never chooses violence to let others obey orders. What Floch and the Yeagerists do is the opposite, it creates more chaos than stability.

They literally drove eren to leave his humanity then were surprised when he did and decided to kill a world that wanted all of them dead. My boii floch had to watch his whole battalion get slaughtered and decided to grow up and protect his people and he gets hate for it.

I can’t go into depth because spoilers but let’s just say a lot of AoT and the timeline is intentional, and is established early on in S4. If an AOE were to happen those crucial moments would need to be changed. Also the latest episode leans into the current ending, perhaps even heavier than the manga with some of the imagery in the ending song.

AoT was massively popular it's first year, that doesn't make it take 5 years to animate another season. Yeah the manga wasn't that far ahead when season 1 ended but the time they dropped season 2 the manga was starting the Marley arc.

So many scenes in that season were exaggerated to attract viewers. But the popularity of AoT then created the opportunity for a season 2 to be produced. That's why we have to wait 5 years for season 2

Idk if it’s really spoiling because I don’t think it has a whole bunch to do with the ending. Just an interesting theory that is also explored in the “Lost in the Cruel World” OVA. Either way. The first episode did not recreate this and instead gave us the montage of flash forwards which could have just been a cool intro in their eyes. I would say this flash forward would hint at the power of the Attack Titan but the last episode of season 1 gave Eren's titan some non-canon berserker mode. Who knows what the director was thinking when making these changes.

2023-03-04 06:51:14 +0000 UTCMappa hoped to release it all at once (i.e., one 2-hour movie), but with how insane all the animation is, they weren’t able to complete all of Season 4 Part 3 by this March 3 release date. So instead of making us (the audience) wait for all of it to be released together in Fall 2023, they split it up so that we at least got something now and can get the finale later. This looks and feels like a movie and hats off to Mappa for the god-tier piece of art they just put forth. Absolutely cannot wait for Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 3 The Final Edition Part 2 in Fall 2023!

2023-03-04 06:47:31 +0000 UTCIf you’re curious about the inclusion of the first scene with Eren and Mikasa, that was actually the first scene of the manga (inclusive of all the extra dialogue), but Wit Studio omitted that in Episode 1 of the anime. Mappa is bringing it back here just to make sure it’s cannon in the anime and because of plot relevance.

I started reading the manga when it was season 4 I think.. but to include the beginning panels of the manga is what made me happy on Mappa's part. But you know what though, there is a dialogue they left out too before eren said "I was dreaming a long dream" maybe mappa is saving it for later idk

They also removed Mikasa's Azumabito tattoo in the first few seasons and Mappa had to reintroduce it in S4, which made it seem like it came out of nowhere (but really it existed for a long time lol). But Mappa also removed some stuff from the manga too so it's whatever lol. Can't adapt everything on the big screen given the time and budget constraints.

Again the re-adaptation of the under the tree scene with Eren and Mikasa is the true beginning scenes of AOT in the manga BUT there is a dialogue that they didn't include before eren said "I feel like I just had the longest dream". Maybe MAPPA's saving it for later.. but dude if they included that, that would stir up more theories. Anyways, always love your reaction guys. Can't wait for october
