The characters used to write Niccolo and Niku are completely different and they are pronounced differently as well. In the original Japanese manga panels, the kanji for "niku" 肉 (meat) even appears in her speech bubble. It's a cute headcanon theory, but she wasn't calling Niccolos's name.
