I’ve loved watching y’all slow warm up to Ellie just like Joel is, because she is a lot at first she’s so 14 and 14 year olds are annoying but she’s really funny and sweet and watching you start to care about her and that mirror of watching Joel start to care for her is really fun. Can not wait for more of these reactions!

The acting in this scene is on another level. I loved the game but it wasn't capable of showing the level of emotion that the show managed to do. It was just so visceral and felt genuine and real.

Yeah LoL isn't a story driven experience in that sense, although the characters have origin stories to "flavour them" it's just another moba. So I don't count Arcane as a game adaption, more as an expansion of the franchise.

The style of voice acting in the sub/dubs I have seen are so culturally influenced though, the Japanese style of acting has been different from the American and I feel like it sometimes changes the entire scene. Its evident already in who's chosen to act certain characters, the American style has often been a reflection of western-ultra masculinity which often feels at odds with the Japanese sleek style. That said, haven't watched Death Note's dub, perhaps it breaks the mold.

People in the comments being angry with you guys for not liking Ellie are probably gamers who already went through the process of getting to know and love the character. I think Bella Ramsay's Ellie is pretty damn funny, love her. So sad they didn't change Henry and Sam's fate from the games. This episode heavy.

Okay, first off, not everybody watches every single anime in sub, and rarely the dub is better than the sub, such as the case with animes like Cowboy Bebop and Black Lagoon. I think, as well as many others, that the Death Note Dub is superior.

I could write essays about the scene at the end I’ve rewatched it so many times but the thing that still sticks with me is the scream that Ellie let’s out when Henry shoots himself is just so visceral like it’s punched out of her, man Bella Ramsey is killing it. Such an intense scene it’s unreal

I think they did a great job portraying Henry's shock when he was waking up to see Sam attacking Ellie. Of course he would be confused at first and stops Joel from doing anything until he finally does the right thing and shoots Sam to save Ellie. It hurt me so much when he said the lines 'What did I do?" cause everything he did up til that point was all for Sam and now he's gone. Plus that cry sound Ellie did when Henry ended himself 😭😭

Kathleen is an interesting person but there definitely would be many Kathleen’s if there were ever an apocalypse. I completely get her side but she took it to another level. She let her anger and need for vengeance jeopardize her people and the whole of Kansas City. It was interesting when she said maybe it was fate for Sam to die. Honestly the same could be said for her own brother. Also her being okay with kids dying and then in turn being killed by a clicker kid… It’s incredibly messed up what fedra did to everyone but how do you further your community by becoming fedra? How does that make you better than them? Sad overall what happened in this story. Sam and Henry… 💔 that genuinely hurt me lol. I loved the bond Sam had with Ellie. Probably first friends they’ve both had in a long while. The hug between them both was just pure pain. Nice touch the show did with Henry hesitating to shoot Sam at first but then immediately making a decision right after. PAIN. I would have loved to see them all together ugh.

I laughed out loud when someone said "rumbling?" when the truck fell down. Also, fun fact, this is Sam's actor's first acting role. He is deaf in real life and they rewrote the character for the show this way as he was not deaf in the game. I think it adds another layer of vulnerability to him and elevates Henry's need to protect him.

I really like it kinda perfect time to hop back in i feel like. Still using my same gun setup as I did in 2017 (shout out mida multi and mini tool) and it's a blast. Been trying to do the campaign on legendary with some friends and it's been some of the most fun gaming ive had in a while. Even though it takes over an hour to do one mission and we die 86 times I love it haha.
