Yes, the only way to use the founder without being of royal blood is the make contact with a TITAN of royal blood. It’s doesn’t matter if it’s a shifter or a pure titan, which is why eren was able to use the powers of the founding titan when he touches Dina Fritz in season 2. As for the memories thing, all subjects of Ymir are connected via paths, and things like memories and wills move through those paths (this is explicitly stated). It’s different to using the powers of a titan shifter. Also worth noting that seeing the future is the Attack Titans power, not the founders. I actually can’t remember why eren gets the future memories in that moment but yeah.

Eren could have perfectly used Historian to activate the founding titans powers as she is also of royal blood. But instead everyone acted like zeke was so important to their plan that he had to stay alive all this time, rather than get eaten and be done with. Why?

I just really sympathize and understand where he is coming from - he cares so much for his friends, he cut off his own leg, blinded himself, suffered in silence... I can't imagine how determined you have to be to go through all of those things! Literally he could not even enjoy his first ice-cream because of the memories of the future. He knew what he would have to do to save the friends he cared so much about, even if it meant going against his own moral compass to kill children and innocent people. In the end, it's the same question that stands for all of us: would you sacrifice a world full of innocent strangers to save the few of your beloved friends/family? Or would you sacrifice your friends/family to save millions of people you never knew and will never meet? I would choose my family. And that's why, "EREN DID NOTHING WRONG!" This boy's story is the epitome of tragic!

Also, go back and focus on Eren when he sees Ramzi for the first time in the market. He is in utter shock and despair because he recognizes Ramzi from his future memories and knows he'll end up killing him..

I have loved watching every second of you guys reacting to this masterpiece. You guys are the real OGs of reacting. No exaggeration. Love Carter's pronto accurate analysis and predictions. Love even more how Cannon can't control his frustration so many times it shows. We've all been there guys. Brig's shenanigans always took the edge off. Plus, how he never fails to sing along to "If I lose it all" in the intro. Same bro same. Mckay's sly grinning is perfect in the context always. Jackson bro, I still laugh so hard when they added those chipmunk noises to you reacting to s1e24 of eren vs Annie. Hope to see more of you guys on my other favourite animes.

Rewatching this episode with y'all I can see why people recommended watching this before going straight into the special. Makes that opening scene so much more impactful. And it was already heart wrenching. When will Brig's reaction to the special be up? I want to see the tables turned where Carter and Cannon know what's going to happen first haha

Not only that, but seeing Eren’s demeanor completely change from when he was talking to Floch and Historia about killing everyone in such a cold, callous way to now crying as he looks on at the people he’s going to eventually kill is just… so heartbreaking.
