What i like about one piece is that you get such a connection with the characters that those moments in the anime make you feel for them alot. Its hard to get into as its very long, but i am a nolifer anyway so watched it all the way through and dont regret a thing.

2023-04-27 18:54:13 +0000 UTCBerserk is legit insane, its basically art every chapter page, the story is VERY mature and if things like AoT and Vinland makes you sick berserk is next level in gore and how cruel humans can be. Story wise its also super interesting and still to this day no anime or movie can portait the art in the manga. If you are interested its 100% worth to read, i never read mangas and this is one of the few i took time to read because of the berserk anime, the manga is 100% better in this case and its not even close.

2023-04-27 14:28:36 +0000 UTCFor McKay asking why the manga is so highly rated without spoilers: I would say the solid themes, like morality and ethics - especially surrounding violence - and realistically paced character development throughout the story. It's geared towards mature audiences (not Shounen, which can have phenomenal storytelling but is ultimately aimed at teenagers and is more often action/adventure). The storytelling is really methodical and meditative and honestly so beautiful. It's made me cry multiple times while watching and reading.

Like I said in past comments and posts, we have been really thrown off with the copyright stuff and are always double checking with other creators on how to post moving forward, which causes the inconsistencies. Once we get the youtube channel back and things get more clear it will be consistent again

As far as One Piece is concerned, more power to you man lol I have some friends who swear it’s amazing and I recently tried to start it, but I just couldn’t do it. It’s almost not fair to say because how long it’s been running, but the earlier episodes are VERY dated so if you weren’t watching from the beginning, it’s very tough to get into it now. I also think you just need to be into that kind of story where it’s focus is extremely broad and not more narrow (like AOT, Vinland saga, etc.)

So far One Piece is my favourite *story*. Just as you know it's very long with 1000+ episodes/chapters, but it's world building is even bigger and incredible and the main characters are crafted carefully and have their purpose, making the story more enjoyable to follow and eager to see the adventures that awaits them. Actually, not only the main characters, but a lot of side characters have a clear purpose to the story and might surprise the reader. Before I said the world building is great, having so many characters just adds to it, it's so diverse! The creativity the author has is one of my favourite things plus his humor just makes the story more unique I believe. I don't think this story is for everyone but that could be said for any story too! One thing that One Piece makes people get hooked on it is the mystery it presents, and that is the title itself! I could keep on talking about it but I'm not trying to make the Two Piece on this comment section... Ah, one more thing, if I had to choose a character all of you five would love is Zoro, no doubt! (Luffy too, he is very lovable). Aight, thank you for the reaction!

I came across Vinland Saga, and I didn't think I would like this show, but since I was bored, I started watching it anyways. The first three episodes were interesting, but it was this episode that hit me hard, and I ended up bingeing the rest of season 1.

2023-04-08 08:13:43 +0000 UTCAs for what's considered the best manga of all time, I haven't read One Piece yet but I know how rabid the fan base is and that some people treat it like the Bible. I want to get into cause I hear it has next-level world building... it's just so dang long. As for Berserk... well it's really hard to put it into words just why it's so phenomenal... I actually didn't read it until a year ago and it exceeded my expectations and then some. It's a cultural icon for a reason and continues to influence so many fantasy works to this day. Trying to sum up how complex, engaging and exhilarating the experience is... is impossible. Guts is a singular character whose arc is unlike anything else I've seen or read. However, I do feel obligated to warn anyone interested that the content is EXTREMELY graphic and brutal. Finally, there's Vagabond. It's a loose re-telling of two of the most legendary samurai in Japanese history and if you love sword fights, bruh... it doesn't get better than Vagabond. It's funny, it's tense, it's insightful and not to mention the art is so unreal no one's bothered to adapt it lol. Sorry for the ramble, I think I heard one of you ask why the top manga were considered top manga so I wanted to give my two cents

(Seinen is a different demographic from shounen like One Piece and Naruto.) Kingdom is manga that gets an honourable mention along with these three. Despite being such beloved mangas, they have the worst luck when it comes to anime adaptations. Berserk’s two adaptations were a hot mess. Kingdom’s first season was CGI animated and it put a lot of people off; so it didn’t gain much popularity with the Western audience. There is no anime for Vagabond yet. Vinland Saga was fortunate enough to have an amazing adaptation.

Both are elite men who fight for what they believe in and have to put their values to the test. In the end, the ultimate test of conviction is giving their life for what they believe is right. For Thors, he chose to protect his people by sacrificially offering himself, so that the Jomsvikings wouldn’t attack his village. But more than that, he modeled his convictions for his son. He told Thorfinn that he has no enemies, it’s never okay to hurt, and that a true warrior doesn’t need a sword. His words were not in vain. He stood by them to the end, and showed Thorfinn a perfect ideal by which to live. The question going forward is: will Thorfinn follow after his father’s footsteps, or will he be consumed by revenge?
