Could you add my favourite show "Severance"? It's really mysterious and probably a bit weird at times. But every time you get a bit more of that spoon fed to you, and the show is so realistic, well made and just interesting.

a live action you all should consider watching; Alice in Borderland. its based off the anime/manga of AiB but my god is the adaptation peak 10x better! if you liked squid game, this is WAY better. its on netflix id recommend checking it out fr!

yeah I have seen all the episodes up to the last one actually and yeah its probably not as good as the first two epic seasons but its still worth watching I think, and its not that long so its not like it will be taking up a lot of time for you guys to watch other things. But yeah like joe said if anything watch it on your own time

its not that i dont like this show and the pace, i love a character driven story! i just dont understand the comparison to a show i find is quite different structurally. i get the tonality similarities though. not bashing, just my own thoughts

For a live action show I would recommend Lost, game of thrones, battlestar galactica or firefly.

Attack on Titan and Vinland Saga are both targeted towards an older audience in terms of seriousness, and both dealing with the human perils of war. Also, both of these anime deal with the theme of revenge whereas an anime such as Death Note is about the individual dealing with society as a whole. Although in completely different settings, the characters can be comparable. For example, we can compare Eren to Thorfinn, Kenny to Askeladd, etc.

if i had one criticism its the maneuverability of the patreon page. i joined the patreon recently so i caught up a lot and if you could properly tag/name the shows with a fixed syntax it would be a big help (for example the last of us tag has only 5 posts, missing 6-9). otherwise great content

loving the vs watch! the one thing i dont understand about the vinland saga fanbase is everyone says its the perfect follow up after watching aot, and i dont see why. aot is plot driven, the mystery is laid out immediately while vs is completely character driven as we walk through this story with them. im waiting on a huge reveal to justify the aot comparisons, otherwise i dont see why theyre seen as similar

Hope it's not JJK I would've liked it when I was teenager but in my 20s I've tried 3x and man it's tough, idc how cool "that one scene is" when so much screen time is cringe culture shock it's not for me. Especially since the plot is so simple --> Define enemy, define protag weakness, power up, defeat enemy, new enemy is too strong, but we have a too strong character, now we train in school etc. nice animation and cool fights but it's 4/10 story, similar to how marvel fell off

Few suggestions for live action series: The Expanse is goated sci-fi. Westworld would blow your minds. So would the Black Mirror but the first episode is hit or miss for a lot of people. Nothing beats reactions to Game of Thrones though.
