It was the best marvel movie since endgame but that’s not saying much😂😂 it’s a 7.5/10 for me, if you don’t care much for like the writing and just wanna go see an action superhero movie then I would recommend it. Otherwise you’re not missing out on much ALTHOUGH there was an action sequence that was I think the best action sequence in any marvel movie

2023-05-07 05:18:13 +0000 UTCthe jiu jitsu vs. jujutsu debate is killing me lol,, it's just the way jujutsu is pronounced in Japanese, syllables ending with a U sound typically sound somewhere between "eu" and "ooo" (U without the Y sound at the beginning) The word Jujutsu has two characters, Ju and Jutsu. Ju means "curse", and Jutsu means "method or technique". So jujutsu just means cursed technique. Jiu jitsu is a fighting form that is actually pronounced the same way in Japanese as Jujutsu, we just respelled it in English *shrug* who knows why. THAT Ju and Jutsu mean "gentle" and "art", respectively.

Shows that are only 12-20 episodes long obviously wouldn’t be able to give everyone of their characters the same amount of attention. And yes i’ll say the sheer number of characters there are in Naruto is a lot, but still with them giving so much credit to characters like Neji, Gaara, and Rock lee in the original series and then giving them like nothing the rest of the show is just a wild choice in my opinion. I do still really like a lot of aspects of Naruto and have nostalgia with it, it’s just so hard looking back on it lmao

2023-05-06 21:37:36 +0000 UTCI agree with everything you said but I will add that as much as Naruto deserves the flack it gets, the hate towards it gets a bit conflated. A lot of the time people make assumptions about what the themes of the shows are and how they were not fulfilled while being in the wrong. Also, the anime makes some liberties of retconning some characters and relationships (especially Sakura in Part 1) that are better done in the manga. Moreover, I get the dislike for talk-no-jutsu (I personally only really hated it in regards to one character only but for me it was mainly the execution) but one has to understand that Naruto came at a time when shonen protagonists like Goku never even tried to understand their adversaries and it was all only fights. Naruto was a huge departure from that and moreover a lot of the shonen tropes we know today as overused originated in Naruto. Also, the hate Sasuke's character gets in the community sometimes tells you all you need to know about some people's reading comprehension because he's one of the best written characters in the show. Also, not to say that you necessarily said all of those things and again I completely agree with you but I just had my own 2 cents here on the show. Also, bringing this back to Jujutsu, similarities between shonen shows will always exist because they inspire each other but JJK is more Bleach and HunterxHunter than it is Naruto (only similarities are the demon inside, the main trio and Gojo is a bit reminiscent of Kakashi)

2023-05-06 21:24:02 +0000 UTCYeah I just think with that long of a show you can’t expect every character to get the perfect ending and every plot hole to be fixed, I do agree that after the pain arc the flashbacks got a little annoying and repetitive, that being said there’s a reason Naruto is as popular as it is today and I think it kept some important core ideology throughout the whole show (Ex. Naruto’s ninja way). In my opinion it’s an S-tier show, even though it’s not perfect I think it’s as good as a 500+ episode anime is gonna get.

SPOILERS BELOW I'm fine with the whole having Kurama inside him, as it's good for development and growth and many times it works against him. But being the literal reincarnation of a god's child is just...no. How can you consider him an underdog after that lol. Rock Lee and Might Gai are 100x times more an underdog - and at least Might Gai got a good conclusion to his arc when he fought against Madara.

Also, the original Naruto (ah brings back memories) had simple ninja techniques combined with special abilities which made it more interesting imo than the OP powers in Shippuden (which is still cool b/c the story had to develop somehow). The characters from the other teams also looked cool and badass (especially rock Lee, Neji, and Gara) in the original. I thought Rock Lee was the coolest. That taijutsu could have more potential!

2023-05-06 21:12:45 +0000 UTCAlright fellas as a loyal patreon member i must get something off my chest... i love naruto, i grew up watching naruto on disney xd and adult swim, i literally hid in the bathroom freshman year of high school to watch the final naruto and sasuke fight as it dropped. the show has a special place in my heart. With that being said, the story of the show is objectively kinda bad after a certain point. I think up until the pain arc, it was an absolutely fantastic show that just had a lot of the same problems that anime of the time had (filler in the form of flashbacks, full episodes, and dialogue etc.) but because of the manga and anime release schedule the show really took a nose dive after the pain arc. Firstly, the power creep is absurd, at the beginning of the show everyone is a ninja who has special abilities, and by the end of the show they are fighting literal aliens and have become capable of destroying whole massive areas of land. Sometimes this is okay, like in the case of gurren laggan, but in naruto the way it happened just felt so plot armory and unbelievable. The absolute worst part of the show is its inability to develop other characters aside from naruto and sasuke. Obviously there are fantastic characters in the show like itachi, madera, jiraiya, pain, and many others but after building so much up in part one with lee and gaara just for them to basically end up as insignificant is just terrible especially because they had such great starts (and dont even get me started on sakura). What really bothers me about the show is the plot holes and talk-no-jutsu. The amount of plot holes and inconsistencies in the show is astonishing, i don't want to spoil anything in here for anyone who wants to watch it but it takes about 2 brain cells to realize how gaping and blatant some of them are particularly later on in the series. In the case of tak-no-jutsu, i think most people can agree at a certain point it became unbearable. aside from a select few, in most major conflicts of the story naruto would literally end up just convincing the villains what they were doing is wrong and everything would be solved. In a world like narutos, this is just absolutely unbelievable. The reason that I typed this out was because i hear naruto thrown out so much on this channel and i have no problem with anyone loving the show but to compare it to something like AOT or Vinland is just crazy. The stories are just levels different. Like i said, im glad people love naruto, i love naruto, its literally what got me into anime but its a product of its time in some of the worst ways possible and i don't think i could recommend anyone watch it today because of how tedious it is, especially when there are far better shows out there. I think at the end of the day, Naruto is a B-teir show with some unforgettable S-Teir moments. But as super eye patch wolf said in his video, the highs are very high but the lows are so incredibly low. Edit: moved this up here because the Naruto Jjk references are making me distraught, obviously the author took a lot from Naruto but Naruto took a ton from the shonens that preceded it

There was so much potential for characters like Rock Lee, Sakura, Shino, Neji, and even Hinata that all got overlooked, they all kept there basic moves that theyve had since they were kids, with the poor pacing too and repetitive flash backs it’s hard for me to give a lot of credit to Naruto as well lmao.
