Though I understand that that is a stupid and un-Kira-like reason to kill. I love the constant battle of wits between L and Light/Kira. I really like L because he is a highly intelligent human who is going toe-to-toe with someone who has god-like powers (albeit the God of Death).

2023-05-22 16:50:13 +0000 UTCAs someone who had a crush on L back in the day, I can say that the reason why I liked L was because not only was he extremely intelligent, but he was also the most competent individual to go against Kira and he was on the side of justice. I don't think by episode 2 any sane individual can properly be on Light's side given his psychopathic tendencies. L's quirkiness adds to his charm, but I think for some of us, it was his intelligence that was attractive. And also, his care and concern for his team.
