As a manga reader, chainsaw man is dope. First season the weakest. Also, the humor in the manga hit better than in the anime. Overall, the adaptation was good. Season 2 should be even better.

Also, the "country mouse and the city mouse" reference in the last scene is also reference in episode 5 where in the backstory for Aki, we see Aki's parent reading a book called "The Country Mouse and the City Mouse" to his younger brother just before they were all killed. I'm not sure if this has any significant meaning, but it's something that caught my eye.

And we know Maki's sketch asf so I wonder what they're trying to say by having Denji be, by all intents and purposes, wholly self-serving and irrational.

Creator Yoshihiro Togashi has teased as much, suggesting back in May 2022 that a new season is on the way, and that he already finished writing 4 chapters, back then.

Fujimoto is insane, both as a writer and just like in general, I am scared of and for him. I think now is a good time to share an... interesting piece of Fujimoto lore. This is a direct quote from him, take it as you will. "There werenβt any prep schools near me, so I went to an art class with a lot of old people, where I did oil paintings in the corner. There were good artists there, so I decided that if I didnβt get better than them in four years I would kill them."
