The author could have literally just off screened him passing chunin and Jonin exams because he was too powerful and it would have made perfect sense. Naruto is so full of plot holes the story looks like swiss cheese. My fav is Naruto going from being a character who overcomes adversity and lack of talent with hard work and willpower to becoming the chosen one among the chosen ones. That's what I call character development.

It’s not like anyone’s stopping him, it just didn’t really matter with everything he was doing. Having a problem with that is like having a problem with a street racer not having a license.

He went from struggling against other genin to beating hokage lvl enemies and still remained a genin. Also, Wano worst character by far is Yamato. Design is cool, everything else is idiotic and breaks immersion with the story.

But never forget: “Obito was the greatest guy!” Also, you only matter if you have a tailed beast in your belly, special eyes or god chakra. What an inspiring message.

2023-08-21 20:42:51 +0000 UTCI LOVE Naruto, was the first anime I ever watched and finished fully, but I gotta say that last arc was actually terrible. The war buildup and beginning of it was pretty good, but after the first rounds of fighting was done, it reallyyyy went downhill. I like obito but I didn’t like the reveal and the backstory really make obito's case for starting the WHOLE WAR kinda underwhelming and seems childish (Kinda like how Kurapicka refused to check on bro after the fight, even though she totally could). To avoid spoilers…obito’s companion, is probably the best character in all of Naruto imo, his story and motives are 1000 times more believable and just but apprently he wasn’t good enough and instead the author replaced him with an OP villian basically out of the blue. And while the backstory of this other villain was OK. It always felt so out of place compared to what was currently happening especially since you could tell how the villain was going to end. All of that, along with Sasuke sudden shift, once again in his ideals made me go from being confused, but somewhat excited to how the story ends to just concerned and curious on how the stories would wrap up. Compare this to the big war arc in OP, Wano. The two actually follow very similar story pads with big ups, and very big downs, however imo OP does it way better and smoother. It has its big villian(s) they have been built up from previous arcs and no villain is just introduced out of the blue (except the Tobi Roppo, but only who’s who gets any depth). The start of the war opens opposite to Naruto’s final ark in which it starts off really slow, but then kicks off once we reach the roof. While we can guess what will happen to Luffy and Co. because of well “story” it becomes hard to imagine that after seeing what happens between Luffy and HIS opponent for the whole war, compared to Naruto who just dropping an OP villian out of nowhere then giving us a quick and nice backstory to explain who that person is . There’s no flashback or backstory that feels like a retcon, or useless for that matter, other than luffy’s power up (even then you can find possible hints of it back in enies lobby, dressrosa, WCI) the only part in Wano that felt out of place or just wrong and stupid was Orochi and Hiyori and Kaido’s BS (Kaido’s backstory fucking sucks and I can’t stand Hiyori and Orochi). In terms of story, the final arc in Naruto added a whole new layer to it then ended it right after with some amazing fights while Wano only ads more to the story and end characters, whilst moving very slow, and with some average fights. TLDR; Naruto’s final war arc and OP’s Wano are very similar in terms of highs and lows when compared to story,hype and writing. However, OP flows the story slower and way smoother compared to Naruto‘s fast and abrupt end to the arc and story

2023-08-20 17:58:02 +0000 UTCGoat anime in terms of story, characters, worldbuilding, and humor. You know just all the important things. There are plenty of ways to avoid bad pacing. First 500 episodes of OP has decent pacing comparable to Naruto and Bleach. After that you can switch to One Pace which cuts out the padding and filler inside episodes. You can also just watch 1.5x or 2x speed for some parts or switch to manga after 500 episodes. I watched normally first 500 or so episodes and when the anime started to pad episodes too much, I switched to reading colored manga. For reactors, its best to watch OP normally for the first 500 then switch to One Pace.

Btw, Hisoka has 6 points now, 3 from his target's tag, 1 point from the tag that the pins guy gave him which belonged to the sniper in the tree that he killed before burying himself in the ground, one point from the tag Kurapika gave him - it belonged to the guy with the monkey, and one point from killing the random guy dressed in blue cape just when Gon stole his tag. Hence, he returned his own tag (#44) and Gon's own tag to Gon, so Gon, too, now has six points.

Also when characters do show different emotions in OP you really feel it. However, as a whole show it has its downsides, but the hype moments are some of the best ive seen. It is just something long shows can give because of the time you watched it.

Chunin exams are so mediocre and absolutely do not "slap" any one piece arcs other then maybe thriller bark or the foxy arc and that's coming from someone who likes Naruto more then op. The pacing is absolutely awful in the chunin exams and the only good part is rock lee vs Gaara. Everything else is genuinely bad. You only remember the good parts in retrospect but people forget about the entire episode dedicated to Sakura fighting ino or Naruto fighting kiba for 2 episodes and winning by farting in his face. That is not it bro 😭

Sabaody, Water 7, and Marineford clap any Naruto arc. All Naruto has over One Piece is better fights and a better OST. When it comes to story, characters, worldbuilding, plot, adventure, comedy, consistency, OP miles ahead. Even Bleach is better than Naruto. I like all three, but One Piece is the best, then big gap, Bleach, small gap, Naruto.
