So when Mechamaru, Maki, Toji were born they got this heavenly pact and it stays with them for life; it's assumed the downside of the pact won't ever change - f'ed up body, no cursed energy, etc. - (because how would they change), and in exchange for this major sacrifice the person is given a huge advantage for life. Mahito is a living loophole (at least in Mechamaru's situation) where even though the heavenly pact has already taken place, Mahito can circumvent the downside of it by reverting Mech's body back to normal by changing his soul. Long story short: I'm pretty sure Mechamaru still has his heavenly pact in play even though he got a healthy body. Who knows if he'll even be around long enough for us to find out though.
