With the point Cater brought up is why I think a show like this won't ever fade away. Yes this show features many cool young characters (12-16). yes also it features an awesome fighting style but most episodes has an actually real life lesson that you can take away whether you're a kid or elderly adult.

He didn't time travel. People are right in being annoyed with his immaturity, most 112 year olds are wise and way more mature than Aang.
