I’m kind of underwhelmed by this whole season, but I think it’s because I don’t like the art style compared to last season or the movie at all. Some scenes are great but the consistency isn’t there. Might also be because of the crazy schedule (felt the same with Hell’s Paradise). But I seem to be one of few that thinks that. It’s not bad, just not what I would have liked. For me it’s the story that carries it now.

I feel disappointed more than anything because I know it could have been amazing if they were just given the time but now we'll never see that vision fully realized and instead we'll be stuck with something that was released weaks before it should have been. Also, I didn't mean that the pacing of the episode was rushed, I meant that the animation itself felt like it had been rushed out, the pacing, for the most part, is fine.

This fight isn’t that long in the manga so I didn’t think it was rushed at all. You are of course entitled to your own opinion and disappointment but I just wanted to put an opposite argument out there so that anime only don’t think they aren’t getting the same story. I do agree with you about the terrible working conditions though.

Like @bigmansirob pointed out, the schedule created by Mappa is horrendous and recent episodes are completed the day before it's released. Yes ep 13 was also also completed a day before it's released even tho it did look amazing. And the big reason is the enormous talented staff behind it despite having a cut throat deadline. To point it out, just because an episode looks good doesn't mean it doesn't have production issues. Jjk season 2 does have them and has always been walking on a fine thread and finally, Ep 14 is the breaking point. These are the truth not speculations, multiple production staffs including directors and animators have spoken out in the public about this and aired out their frustrations. And no, this is not normal even in the overworked anime industry. Hope everybody that reads this understands the other side of the production of jjk. Understanding it and being aware of these issue is enough to play a big part in reforming this bad culture. The animation for the fight against Dagon is super obviously unfinished and rushed. It probably gives the feeling to anime-onlies that this is a "low priority" fight like the bloody grass hopper which is absolutely untrue, I would say that in the manga this is one of the main/standout fights of the entire shibuya incident and I, personally, was looking forward to it being animated even over Choso vs Yuji. Of course I don't blame the animators but with the schedule that MAPPA has created it's no wonder that multiple big names in Japanese animation have left the show outright. Honestly this does not give me much hope that future episodes will be animated anywhere near as good as last episode but I hope I'm wrong. The thing I'm most hoping for, as much as it pains me to say this, is a substancial delay so that there's time to fully realize these episodes and give the animators some breathing room because, as a wise man once said, "A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad."

Cursed Wombs are cursed spirits like Dagon that evolve into stronger curses. The Womb stage is essentially like a pupa stage of the curse. The Finger Bearers (the white dudes that each have a Sukuna finger found in season 1) are also Cursed Wombs that evolved into Finger Bearers after ingesting a Sukuna finger.
