FMAB has a bigger and better cast, is more consistent, better villains, more development for the characters and ends in a way higher note. Death Note is amazing too, but after episode 25 its just a downward trend until the last episode which is great. Also the cast is too small and apart from Light, L and Ryuk everyone is mid or forgettable.

As far as death note vs FMAB, it's a tossup, depending on what mood ur in.

2023-11-13 13:46:10 +0000 UTCI don't think that's a controversy 🤔 If we go by eps, FMAB almost doubles the number of eps Death Note has, so of course by ep 16 DN was more developed than what we have rn with Fullmetal. Also DN doesn't have to set things up, DN only has to explain that there are Shinigami that are God of death and to kill people they have a notebook were they write names and have certain rules, they tell us all that in 1 ep or 2, whereas FMAB has to set up a whole new world with different countries and everything so it will take more time, we could say it has a slow start, but it picks up not even in the middle as Mckay said it's before that, you guys are actually almost there. A random thing, this opening and ending are my favorite in the whole show!! There is another op that I like almost the same as this one but it comes way later.

FMA has 27 volumes, Death Note has 12 (manga volumes are all generally similar page count, unless it's an omnibus which is multiple volumes compiled into one book).
