THIS IS THE CRAZIEST THING OF ALL TIME WTF

Comments

They actually havent scratched the surface of the plot lol thats the funny thing. 70% of the plot are revealed in the first 5 episodes of season 3

Idk if anyone said this before, but the subjugation ritual only works if megumi beats it alone.

Zemillion

makora and mahoraga can both be used. Makor is the name, mahoraga is the "species"

Zemillion

Akutami actually uses both makora and mahoraga interchangeably in the manga scans

Zemillion

I saw a comment somewhere saying “ for the japanese "you are my special" is more aligned with "you are my plaything" “ which would make more sense on why they played this

Pavlo

Malevolent Shrine is the direct translation from the raw manga scans. Crunchyroll just updated the subtitles it was just a mistake

JawsTheDuck

@Gloccr lol this same person made a spoilery comment awhile ago in the jjk episodes about N and basically spoiled me before they kind of edited the post after someone telling them too. I see it’s a pattern smh 😒 why is it so hard to make a normal comment with no hinting like…

A

So are people forgetting that my boi inumaki was inside sukunas 140m domain I wonder if he is alright

Pressure

Mckay be like "That's sad 😁"

Kim555

Question for jjk Thursday , who wins nanami vs todo

Ant just watching

idk if anyone’s mentioned this yet but one of the animators said they based the mappa studio as a blueprint model for one of the buildings getting wrecked during the fight 😭 as they should!!

LK

You know what completely blows my mind? Megumi trying to summon Mahoraga in freaking EPISODE 1, and again during his fight W Sukuna, and again at the end of season 1. Bro so underrated, but I KNEW he was HIM.

Diana Rodriguez ⛓️

Yall no, Makora is the Japanese name. Megumi literally says Makora.

Diana Rodriguez ⛓️

"what am I watching" zoinks..... same bestie

Diana Rodriguez ⛓️

lmao malevolent kitchen

Carter Delaney

You could say they didn’t expect his trump card to be this insane which is valid but to say and I’m paraphrasing here “we’ve never ever heard of this thing it came out of nowhere” is just not true. Which is not a big deal obviously but it definitely did not come out of nowhere.

M2GZ

Well considering Sukuna was shook when he nearly summoned it in ep 5 it’s heavily implied that he has a power strong enough to rival an at least 2 finger Sukuna. On top of that considering they teased his powerful “trump card” that would cost him his life like 5 separate times in season 1 I’d say this was quite the opposite of coming out of no where. 😂 Can’t really have something be foreshadowed and also come out of no where that doesn’t really make sense.

M2GZ

Considering he didn’t know what its ability did until he fought it I doubt it. I think he was only interested in this technique because megumi was about to use it against him in episode 5 which he seems suprised by and its the first time we see sukuna develop an interest for megumi. I think if megumi had summoned it back then it probably would’ve beat sukuna at and he could probably sense that somehow?

M2GZ

LET THEM COOK

Toff

Pretty sure the direct translation is literally “Sukuna’s Kitchen” so I don’t think it was a mistake

Kenneth Castellanos

Never disappointed. Ur reactions make it worth watching these sick animes. I def don’t watch it, react like crazy, then hop onto Patreon to see if u have the same reaction 😂 best reactors EVER

EmmaLynm

Idk if anyone said it yet but it was supposed to be “Malevolent Shrine” not Kitchen

Schwifty_Ant

Agreed lol

AYAYAJUICER

it’s pretty obvious this character is huge in the future. I’m pretty sure they said that that’s why sukuna is so interested in Megumi in the outro. Didn’t spoil anything

notchrisramirez

As someone who has been spoiled for this series a lot I appreciate all the warnings in the comments, but please stop giving away spoilers with the warnings themselves. Just ask people not to look up anything related to the series, instead of specific characters.

Linn

i feel like sukuna has history with makora. he was talking about “if i knew back then” and then megumi silhouette emerges in the animation, and yes i think that’s in reference to what he sees in megumi but i’m also wondering if he has previous experience with this technique, maybe all the way back to those ancestors of gojo and megumis they were talking about.

khalxeesi

One of the animators at mappa tweeted (it got deleted now) that this episode was 30% complete. THIRTY PERCENT… they still delivered but can you imagine if they were given enough time

asdfg

to clarify lots of translation errors happened with crunchyroll -malevolent kitchen is actually malevolent shrine -sukunas abilities are dismantle and cleave -megumis shadow is Mahoraga, not Makora (different translations) +as sword dudes head gets chopped off the goat narration is "upon meeting sukuna, his luck had finally run out"

Kaibur

Sorry to ask Carter/Gek Boys, but will you be uploading Invincible sometime today or another day? Im so hyped for the reaction to episode 3!!!

Jed

it's crazy how everything happens in just one night

Takari

I think the reason people wouldnt like it is because they don’t understand what the song represents or just because the way the song sounds and plays itself. Like yeah it supposed to represent like death and a funeral with all the imaging, but i think the song itself is a little upbeat for that moment to someone who doesnt know the background behind the op. I personally liked it, but i can totally understand why someone wouldn’t.

alex anderson

i wasnt vibing w the last 6ish eps very much then this happpened and completely changed my mind. yuuji best anime protagonist. insane fight

khalxeesi

I'm pretty sure Makora is the actual Japanese translation though right? The person who was doing the official manga translations used the Sanskrit name for some reason which is Mahoraga. I think Mahoraga is cooler, but in a typical translation Makora is more appropriate (Megumi also pronounced it as Makora in his line).

Aglet

As absolutely crazy as this entire episode was, the highlight for me is still the voiceacting for Yuji’s VA at the end. So much raw emotion😭

Asbjørn Kennedy

😂😂😂 Megumi just looking for a reason to kill himself.

Bri

I think you're misunderstanding the comment. This did come out of nowhere. Sure it's been alluded to that Megumi had some other technique that we hadn't seen, but that the technique would be something that could go this hard and survive sparring with Sukuna plus it's this massive almost humanoid juggernaut when previously all his shikigami that we've seen have been animals. This absolutely did come out of nowhere. Something was foreshadowed yes, but that it was going to be this wild was not.

Nick K

I will say in terms of shock value and insane visuals and scale this fight is fucking incredible and absolutely up there but naruto has several fights that honestly just clear bc they have insane animation but also insane impact in terms of emotion and story

Jack McKee

Yeah this is sometimes the downside of being a reaction channel instead of watching it on your own time where you can focus on the details, so cut them some slack. It's not a big deal. They watch so much and don't always catch everything because they are reacting in order to entertain the audience. Things can get lost or forgotten. Megumi has teased that technique several times in season 1 and this season and every time he's teased it, it spooked whoever he was facing. That's why Sukuna has been so interested in him. Great reaction guys!

Bryce Jones

Yah I facepalmed HARD after that comment from Cannon. Shits literally been foreshadowed since episode 1 lol

M2GZ

We finally got to see him use sacred wing after teasing twice last season

Nrock23

100% not hating on these guys at all! Love em, and I get it, everyone doesn't catch everything and its been a long time, but at 10:20 when they say it came outta nowhere irks me just because I love how long its been foreshadowed as Megumis trumpcard. He has assumed the pose multiple times and even started to say his name once. Twice against Sukuna (one at the very start and one after the Prison arc), one time against Todo which is funny af to think about him actually summoning it, one time against Hanami before Inumaki stopped him, and one time against the Fingerbearer at the end of season 1. Its a brilliant piece of groundwork that the author has been laying that Megumi has always been a team player who is ready to give up his life to save others

Kekles

I’ll take it 😎

Cannon Andrus

i completely agree like that was so out of place

Zyuki

We just finished it 😳

Cannon Andrus

bruh

notchrisramirez

Nobody really knows how it specifically works. It's not known if it's adaptation takes time after receiving and attack or experiencing an attack multiple times. It's wheel indicates it's moving towards adaptation.

Azquidif

I just went and read about the shikigami's name lol I checked the Japanese version, it's in kanji but it had furigana (that I can read) and it does say "Makora" buuuut I found out that Makora is suppose to be based on a Buddhism deities that are called "Mahoraga" that are basically humanoids with serpent heads, so I guess either way is correct? Considering JJK is heavy influenced by Buddhism, I wouldn't be surprised both ways will be correct. At this point I'm just looking for excuses to keep calling it Mahoraga lol

Ale

Invincible is peak right now

Jed

Omg he does 😂

Ale

the subs can be fixed tho

celery

"Malevolent kitchen" 😂😂😂 sorry that made laugh, the correct name is "Malevolent shrine" tho, that was a mistranslation. Regarding Mahoraga or Makora, I guess the manga romanization was wrong? The manga always use "Mahoraga" but they say "Makora" so that should be the correct one, Kanji has different ways to be read so the confusion is understandable. Now regarding Megumi and the 10 shadows, he said that nobody has ever tamed Makora, and using another person during the ritual voids the whole process, so he literally was just killing himself here lol, he actually tries to bring Makora a few times during S1, boy was ready to die for any minor inconvenience xd I don't think Sukuna had it easy, I guess it's just the way he is, but I might be wrong, there's a lot of the fight that is anime-only so. I cannot help but hate and like how Sukuna treats Yuji, there was absolutely no need for him to go back to the place he destroyed, Yuji was gonna remember either way, Sukuna is so cruel for that and I loved the fact they used the opening during that scene, the op it's supposed to be from the villains POV so it feels like mockery Yuji crying hating himself and that music playing, like on S1 when Jumpei was transformed and Mahito and Sukuna laughed at his disgrace, so cruel yet beautiful 💔 I love this ep, I really hope the animators get better treatment, shame on Mappa and Toho.

Ale

another great episode. this whole season (including gojo’s first part) has been insane. season 1 already had solidified jjk as one of my favorite shounen that’s come out in a long time and this season topped it 1000 times over. i don’t even know how it could go from here

Joydan Bri’an

No wonder the animators are quitting, this shit insane fr

ssj4rit

The manga translates "fillet" and "dissect" as "cleave" and "dismantle", "malevolent kitchen" is supposed to be "malevolent shrine", and "Makora" is called "Mahoraga". The changes are kind of minor mostly, except the malevolent shrine has a totally different meaning from malevolent kitchen so this is a really bad translation just for that. Not to mention that he calls it shrine in season 1.

Connor O'Hara

ok why did the website I pirated the episode from have better subtitle translations than Crunchyroll 😭 I was actually cackling at Malevolent Kitchen 😂

Carrie

My mind is BLOWN!! Thanks and prayers to the animators!! GREAT REACTION!!

Shino

Yea it’s got some mistranslations it’s not Maloney kitchen it’s still malevolent shrine, and it’s mahoragha

Garrett Antis

Dude I was reading a reddit thread compilation of the various animators' stressed-out tweets and it made me so sad. They are getting absolutely buried under an unreasonable schedule and getting no sympathy from their CEO. It almost makes me feel bad for watching and positively reinforcing that behavior.

Hunter Snider

Did you watch the reaction video? What are you talking about spoilers? Mahoraga literally was defeated by Sukuna. If anything, YOU ARE THE ONE SPOILING US.

Joie Dianzon

nanami :(

Vibes

The fights aren't over at all. things only keep ramping believe it or not.

Mr.Flakes3

Those subtitles are off ands its weird. Sukunas domain is called Malevolent Shrine, and the techniques are Cleave and Dismantle. That thing he fought is called Mahoraga not what ever they called it.

Mr.Flakes3

It isn’t malevolent kitchen btw. Mistranslation. 😂😂😂🤣🤣 That caught me so off guard

Sithy

you're right 😭

Mia Malvik

So in Season 1 when they kept talking about Megumi sacrificing himself to save people and Gojo told him to stop doing that , it was because he had the ability to summon Mahoraga cause he knew it would kill him and his enemy. Thats why Sukuna said that if he had released it last time they fought outside the mental asylum in season 1 , Mahoraga would have defeated him.

Emil Bengtsson

I know it's not the pact now cause I just remembered the details of it.

LuvStarburst

I think sukuna had control over Yuji for a bit bc he was given 13 fingers at once earlier.

Luke Johnson

everything from ep 15+ should be crazy

Brayden

oh yeah the crazy shit just started to cook up

Brayden

Yeah I read about it in yt comments , but ngl the name is sooo funny now all I can imagine is Sukuna being a chef or something like that 😭😭

HaNo0onat

im glad im not nosy so i didnt look it up lmao

Gloccr

You cant adapt to being erased from existence thats why hollow purple would work.

Emil Bengtsson

omg stop telling them. if they look up anything surrounding the name mahoraga they will be spoiled. why do yall do this

Gloccr

ittechnically wasnt tho, the japanese kanji has multiple meanings LOL

Gloccr

CANNON LOOKS LITERALLY LIKE JOTARO

Mansxlook _05

I'm not sure if that's what sukuna did but it's anime a minute can last a while episode.

LuvStarburst

Yes. That’s all i’m gonna say cause it goes into this more in the future but maybe not until like season 4+ 💀

notchrisramirez

totally forgot about that WTF IT WAS MINUTE?????

dia

ok understood, but can you explain his Wheel thingy ? Did it turn everytime he adapts?

Emil Bengtsson

gojo would easily beat mahoraga, gojo isnt just strong bc of his abilies but because he mastered them to the T. previous Six eyes + limitless users most likely was more comparable to teen gojo in his first fight against toji.

Zyuki

Can’t believe they went back to back with 9.9 quality fight episodes… and there’s still more crazy shi from this arc. From what I hear 😂

Nonos

True, but Megumi actually has tried to summon it 2-3 times after the first time infront of sukuna 😭 he’s been like 98% about to summon it multiple times 🦦

Kale

he didnt kill ijichi. The last episode showed us yaga talking to shoko on the bridge. Ino and Ijichi were both saved because of shoko showing up

Crayonz

It’s lowkey fuckin genius, liek they go into it knowing the fight ends with the city leveled, I think it was a liiiillllll crazy but like it was magnificent

Kale

DO NOT. AND I MEAN DO NOT LOOK UP ANYTHING TO DO WITH MAHORAGA. Even if you want to look up what its correct spelling is, you will most definitely have one of the biggest spoilers ever. WARNING WARNING WARNING. DO NOT LOOK UP ANYTHING TO DO WITH MAHORAGA OR YOU WILL PROBABLY BE SPOILED.

notchrisramirez

It's a bold and cheeky choice and that's what makes an anime adaptation goated. I don't need a slideshow with manga panels and safe OST. Is it controversial for some? Sure, opinions are allowed but there bold choices are more interesting imho

bondbond53

remember that sukuna has a pact with yuji where he's allowed to take over his body for a minute and his condition is he won't harm any of his friends. I'm curious to know if all that happened in a minute.

LuvStarburst

A chaotic epsiode, very befitting to the King of Curses, RYOMEN SUKUNA. Yuji breaking down in the end with the OP playing in the background is cherry on top of this ep. Shows us how cruel Sukuna can be, causing such a destruction in Shibuya just to make Yuji suffer cuz Yuji is his SPECIALZ.

neko

FACTS. IF ANY OF YALL LOOK UP ANYTHING TO DO WITH MAHORAGA YOU WILL BE SPOILED BEYOND BELIEF. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT LOOK UP MAHORAGA AT ALL.

notchrisramirez

this was unreal

Broski McBrosef

I see what you mean, and I hadn’t thought of it and it kinda makes me feel a lil better, buuuuut I do feel like that was more of an immensely intimate moment with yuji in the manga. Kinda just a shame but fuckin incredible episode for every single second on screen 🦦

Kale

LETS GOOO

Cookie

I agree I really liked that choice!

nans

Idk what anyone says the use of the OP in the end there was perfect. The current OP is supposed to be from the POV of the curses so at the end Yuji is experiencing the same mocking as he did when Junpei died and Sukuna and Mahito started laughing at him. It's like Sukuna said 'enjoy, you are my special' in a fucked up way

bondbond53

I know the animators are overworked but are their physical working conditions horrible too? Wtf is MAPPA doing. I would much rather wait for episodes than have the animators not sleep for a week. I'm not on twitter & want to avoid any possible spoilers

A

Malevolent kitchen isn't exactly mistranslated. Japanese kanjis can have multiple meanings

Sean

So the anime went absolutely crazy on this adaptation. In the manga this fight only lasts one chapter and it's not nearly as crazy as this. Sukuna levels the city with Malevolent shrine, but other than that the animators added a lot more stuff to the fight overall.

Megan Kirby

The translations this episode are kinda different than the manga. The shikigami is called Mahoraga, Sukuna's slashes are Cleave and Dismantle and his domain is Malevolent Shrine in the manga

ClayPM

Also fun fact. Everyone keeps saying that we've never known about Mahoraga, but when Megumi first fought Sukuna in season 1 he was about to summon it but stopped once Itadori took control again. This first instance is why Sukuna has always been interested in Megumi because he sensed/knew what Megumi was about to summon.

notchrisramirez

I left this comment last week but its pertinent with what McKay said. If you want fights of this quality with even more insane colors WATCH MOB PSYCHO 100. Some of the BEST fights in all of anime IMO.

notchrisramirez

Love that Megumi was petty enough to use his ultimate technique against fodder like Haruta 🤣

pyx

MAPPA really gave a warning for next episode. 💔 That was an amazing episode, but it’s literally too fast for my brain to follow. In a fight against Mahoraga vs Gojo, without considering other people’s lives, Gojo would win easily. However, this is 15 fingers Sukuna right now.

Joie Dianzon

Facts

Cannon Andrus

It also should be cleave and dismantle. Not fillet and disect.

kim odejar

The translation is off its should be malevolent shrine, cleave and dismantle.

kim odejar

Mahoraga is involved with one of the biggest plot in upcoming seasons if you search anything related you'll immediately get spoiled

AYAYAJUICER

I CANT stop laughing while they talk about malevolent kitchen 😭😭😭😭😭 I don’t know why the translation was off

HaNo0onat

The finals fights in the last season of Avatar will give this episode a run for its money Imo. This stuff is super cool, but the music & choreography will make you want to cry it so good in ATLA..lol.

Daniel Sellars

makora is his japanese name so that makes sense to line up with the audio, the other translations are hilarious though

Noah

the translations u guys got were wrong in some subtitles, It's still called Malevolent Shrine. And his moves are still Cleave and Dismantle

Ninjinzo

I think we can all agree that Mahoraga is such a better name for it.

Ali Lulz

true, i watch it in 9anime too

Thomas Juino

Note that he did all that in just a few minutes

YaBoyKamui

This fight reminded me of Bakemonogatari stylistically. I was tripping at the Mahoraga to Makora change. Sukuna is sadistic he purposefully switched where he knew it would upset Itadori the most but Gege is the ultimate villain 😂 Regarding the animators I can’t imagine any real anime fan being upset waiting longer for higher quality and better animator treatment. Studios need to get it together.

Bri

fun fact: one of the buildings that mahoraga crashes into is actually a blueprint of MAPPA HQ (as stated by Hone-hone one of the animators) they really are letting their anger show 🤣

窪岐拉

In anime9 it’s translated well

HaNo0onat

this animation is too much i liked season 1 better my personal opinion though

giantwave vegeta

Wish they had more time to polish their episodes but it's just impossible to with the pressure and onslaught of deadlines on the staff from MAPPA. This episode looked absolutely fucking amazing but I know it could've been better. It's just so unfortunate that this type of treatment in the workplace is the norm in Japan. The subtitles for this episode are odd too. I chuckled at Malevolent Kitchen. 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️

Boi

Very easily one of the best episodes of anime I've seen personally, and I hope the impression was never that the animators are doing anything wrong. This quality of product given the never-ending deluge of bad reports coming out against Mappa is truly worthy of praise. Obviously not every episode should be expected to be like this, but I can't pretend I didn't say some past episodes irked me, but in the end it's only used to argue against Mappa's conditions. I hope it's clear we're all on the same page there. The animators shouldn't be expected to shoulder any complaints people do have.

CHIEF

yuh that was the craziest thing I've seen in my life. The way they animated Malevolent Shrine was literally god tier. Soundtrack out of this world. Seriously 11/10

Mia Malvik

yeah im not happy about it at all, i was shouting MAHORAJA the whole time, not happy about any of the name changes, like Rabbit Escape being changed to Fleeing Hares, or Divine Dogs being changed to Demon Dogs, or even Curtain being changed to Veil. Everything like that does my head in xD

Daniie Evans

The Japanese name, if you pay attention to how Megumi spoke it, is Makora, but since this is the first time we are hearing an animated person say its name out loud it created confusion. In the manga the translated name in english was Mahoraga for whatever reason. It happens a lot of times in many anime. The english manga translates in a certain way and everybody thinks thats the official name because the english word is the only reference for this thing, until at least someone say it out loud in japanese. So the english translation changed the original name to "Mahoraga". what you saw was the original japanese name

Izaya

bro did cook tho😭🙏🏽

Joker

Gojo would body that Shikigami, he's the strongest six eyes user in history. The only one who can use limitless in the way that he does and RCT.

Jigga Man

That Kitchen mistranslation is the only downside of this episode

Jigga Man

he tortured the suits. sukuna cut that mf in half

hatemylife2003

are you tugging nuts with this one? I know you seen him torturing the suit girl and Nobara. Also killed the guy with glasses. Glad Sukuna packed him up

Can’t touch this Stone

@Cruel_WOrlD I also think Gojo would be able to beat Mahoraga because Gojo has been able to adapt and take limitless to a next level (hollow purple) 🙏

Bibi

I don't want to sound like a hater but man that has to be the worst use of an OP in episode that I've ever seen in an anime. I was gearing up for an emotional scene but then they start blasting the OP and I genuinlly burst out laughing. Can you imagine how much more powerful it would have been if it was silent with no music. Anyway, other than that and the slightly wonky subtitles this was an incredible episode with some seriously amazing animation and creativity which reminded me a lot of Mob Psycho 100. Sadly this is probably going to be the last episode of this season that gets enough time to cook (I doubt they're going to delay anything) but it was a great ride while it lasted. 🫡

BigManSirob

Yeah it's pretty fucking bad how poorly the staff are being treated. MAPPA has taken on too many projects and the workers still suffer with low wages and an endless amount of impossible deadlines to meet. They probably refuse to hire more people to work on the projects too.

Boi

tf is dissect and filet lol

hatemylife2003

yeah all technique's names are different

Thomas Juino

Holy this episode was so peak

Arallius

Gojo would do what Sukuna did but faster. All it takes is 1 hollow purple and some backshots

CRuEL_WOrlD

fr i was so just confused why it decided to do that this episode of all of them

Jack mayfield

yeah the name of Sukuna's Domain Expansion is Malevolent Shrine, idk why it's translated by Kitchen

Thomas Juino

Yuji was 1 in a 1,000,000 because he was able to subdue sukuna

Avishai Pinckney

👨‍🍳

Cannon Andrus

There are some translation errors here. Malevolent Kitchen is supposed to be Malevolent Shrine, and Makora is supposed to be Mahoraga. Fillet is supposed to be Cleave, and Dissect is supposed to be Dismantle. Or they just changed the names. Either way lol

Nicholas Snyder

his name is Mahoraga. Japanese would pronounce it the way english speakers would say "Makora". Their letters just have different pronunciations. It'd be valid to pronounce it "Mahoraga" as an english speaker

Crayonz

ive been in shibuya 109

teagan

Shrine and Kitchen are interchangable in japenese, its a hint at Sukuna’s CT same as Fillet and Disect👍🏻

Jed

I thought it was kitchen because he was cooking so hard

Shpitz

I swear, Haruta is the New Tonpa, bro he gets so much unnecessary and exagerated hate... Bro shows up on the screen once and ppl already telling him to die and that they hate him... like, what did the poor boy do?

Izaya

jjk is so entertaining and brutal and just such a phenomenal battle shonen overall its beautiful to witness. i pray we get a delay for the last couple eps of the season to give the animators the rest they deserve because wow wow wow. last weeks ep and this weeks ep back to back was just insanity.

nans

Also it’s malevolent shrine, probably the kitchen is a mistranslation

Joao Lucas Lima

Makora is the Japanese, or original version. For some reason, idk what, the translated to mahoraga for other languages

Joao Lucas Lima

thats the crunchyroll translations. Its not ever this bad but this week was a bit rough

Crayonz

LITERALLY

leah

theyve got these people basically sleeping at their desks

Crayonz

It’s makora in japanese, listen to to the japanese voice in the episode and you will hear it. Mahoraga is the translated version

Joao Lucas Lima

It's called Malevolent Kitchen cause Sukuna cooks everytime he's in his domain

Jesse Gutierrez

The fallacy here is that we're just assuming that the past six eyes/limitless user is = gojo just because they both had the techniques. I think if gojo swapped places with sukuna here he could've figured something out but idk

Legendarygamer

hell yaa

hatemylife2003

What are these translations😭😭

emanon

Yes thank you for being hasty with the jjk uploads it’s a blessing to watch it twice w u guys🙏

Mattchu

i think it’s mainly the strict timelines

leah

What is the problem with conditions? Is it bad pay? Strict timelines? I’m just wondering to know how ppl can help because this is wild

Kelli Atkins

Correct me if I am wrong with my analysis: Megumi said that no sorcerer has ever subjugated(tamed) Makora (Mahoraga). In the flashback, Gojo told Megumi that long time ago the heads of Zenin and Gojo clan killed each other in a fight. The head of Zenin at that time had that same curse technique (limitless & six eyes) as Gojo and head of Zenin had the same curse technique (ten shadows technique) as Megumi. Megumi before summoning Mahoraga says " I imagine the head of the clan used this in much the same way back then". That implies that the Zenin head summoned Mahoraga who killed both the Gojo clan and Zenin clan head during the fight. We know that Sakuna is able to beat Mahoraga but the question is would Gojo be able to beat Mahoraga??? Also, it gets me thinking if Megumi were to tame Mahoraga would he be able to summon multiple Mahoraga in his domain expansion since Megumi's domain expansion summons multiple copies of of his shikigamies?? That might be OP lol

Bibi

I man that we’ve seen for sure. Of course we don’t know about what we haven’t seen yet 😈

Cannon Andrus

Viz chose to use Mahoraga in the translations cause it sounds cooler. The actual english translation is Makora, the community had a problem with this when it was first introduced. They even made a readers edit for the manga, it happens with Disect and Fillet too. I cant say anymore cause thats spoiler territory.

Jed

aww i feel so bad they got clappedd in the comments last episode 😭

alexis ♡︎

I don't know what version of this episode you guys are watching, but that translation is soooooooo bad. That was malevolent shrine I don't know why it was translated to malevolent kitchen.

Ali Lulz

it may be false but the employees are requesting it (and requesting delays) it just keeps being denied by the production committee

leah

shibuya incident? more like shibuya apocalypse

Seth Aasland

the production shutting down part is false

AryTheDog

idk if you guys in these comments have been hearing what’s going on at mappa rn but as of yesterday, what i’ve heard is that production on the remainder of season two of jjk has been shut down. next weeks episode might not air but if it does, it very well could be the last one for a little while. the working conditions at mappa are TERRIBLE according to the employees. you can probably tell with just how much they have under their belts to begin with (soooo many anime’s are being done by mappa rn) but the employees literally finished the JJK0 movie in 4 months when the average time it takes to make a feature length anime film is 2-3 YEARS. they also requested a delay on todays episode so they’d have more time to work on it but it was denied by the production committee. episodes are being completed HOURS before release at this point. they also work 10-14 hour days 7 days a week…. all that being said, if there is no episode next week and y’all have been noticing a decline in animation quality, that’s why!

leah

Nah you aint ready for what bout to come

CRuEL_WOrlD

gojo said someone with the SE and limitless had fought a ten shadows user and both died. now we dont know the proficiency of either of these two users, maybe the SE limitless user wasnt as good as gojo but atp who knows. also, as megumi stated, its likely that the ten shadows user used mahoraga in the same way he used it, as a last resort that would kill them both, implying the previous user probably didnt tame it themselves either. anyone else other than the ten shadows user involved in the taming ritual renders the taming unsuccessful at the end of it if they manage to beat it. also, dunno whats up with the translations, but in the manga, and more popularly, the attack sukuna uses against objects with CE is called "cleave" while any object without CE will face "dismantle". also, "malevolent kitchen" is crazy😭 i mean bro did cook so

Joker

it's not the english version as in the manga it also mahoraga it's just crunchyroll's fault

窪岐拉

It's name is Mahoraga. In the manga, it's Mahoraga. I don't know why its Makora in this one

Its so sad whats happening at MAPPA and unfortunately its not uncommon in the animation industry even here in the west. The fact they can still put out this level of work under those conditions makes them deserve so much respect and support. Im glad you guys addressed it at the beginning.

Dont worry about the subtitles boys. Kitchen and Shrine are interchangable in japenese. Also Fillet and Disect at this point in the anime are supposed to be Cleave and Dismantle. Someone at the studio messed up hard. As for Makora thats the english way of saying it but if you want the real name its Mahoraga. Hope yall enjoyed the episode cause these animators are fed up with Mappa.
