In my opinion, its a great contrast from today's Shonen. Ever since the Big Three, killing popular characters has happened less. Any shows that did always did it in a bad way, until now. The story gets you attached emotionally and hurts, but you keep watching. It's got realism mixed with fantasy, peak fiction.

There is always Blue Eye Samurai for you guys to start watching since that show is madly high rated and nothing like you've ever seen in your life. It's crazy insanely good looking and well acted out. The script is also a high point for me. The pacing of the show is just so good. I can only compare it to Arcane level of quality, thats how good it is.

i think that yuji and mahito have a very interesting dynamic as protagonist and antagonist. yuji became a sorcerer roughly around the same time that mahito first incarnated as a cursed spirit. they’re both learning, in their own worlds, how to use cursed techniques, and learning everything about jujutsu such as pacts, combat, cursed energy, etc. They’re both learning at the same time as each other and growing as enemies parallel to one another. also i think mahito has a dope cursed technique, it’s just a shame it’s in the hands of a murderous child curse

Call me crazy but I genuinely thought there was a chance for a Mahito redemption at the beginning of this episode: The way he just glanced at Nanami seeming uncharacteristically unexcited, the thought that he could technically fix Nanami right up with soul manipulation like he did for Mechamaru. He has had very childlike behavior since the beginning, which makes sense given his assumed very young age, so the idea of him mentally maturing isnt out of this world. And when Mahito then let Nanami do his thing with the transfigured humans and said he wanted to talk I was like “okay??”. Finally, from a writing standpoint it would be an interesting development given how irredeemable he actually is plus how much Yuji hates him. But oh well, Mahito didnt really say anything else to Nanami after that, and everything he said or did after that indicates that he is, and probably will continue to be completely nuts and needs to be put down. My take from the “one more card” was that Mahito was gonna take down Nobara, but that he hasnt done it yet. He is very confident so he probably thinks that it is a given that he will win. I have hopes that Nobara will show Mahito up in some way, she is one of the more unhinged jujutsu sorcerers so she might do something crazy

The anime definitely dragged his death by the end of it. It doesn't take Mahito long to kill him when Yuji shows up. I don't mind the flashes of him walking the beaches of Malaysia but it really shouldn't have taken up the first half of the episode. Last episode ended with Nanami walking the corridors of the station. If you go look at the manga and see how slow the first half of this episode is. Ch 120

Gege is the worst curse he loves to torture poor yuji 😭 His teacher is sealed, his mentor got blown up in front of him, and he had a front row seat to thousands being murdered. I’ve watched a ton of anime and only two characters have actually freaked me out. Mahito and Kizaru from One Piece (I think Jack said he’s watched) they are just so nonchalantly brutal.
