2024-01-01 20:29:48 +0000 UTC"It was cruel and it was wrong". One of my favorite lines from this series. You don't see much portrayal of parental physical abuse in children's media. This scene is crazy meaningful to have Zuko, a child, stand up to his abuser and recognize that nothing justified his mistreatment. Def teaches kids what an unhealthy and unjust parental relationship looks like. More importantly though, that it is NEVER the child's fault.
