Not only does the baby need to come out head 1st it has to be facing the right direction. My son who was 10lbs 4 oz and 27 inches long was facing the wrong direction when they did an emergency C section after 32 hrs of labor. I will never understand how after 32 hours none of the nurses noticed that they were not feeling the correct side of his face. Apparently the curve of the nose and the nape of the neck help push a baby through the birth canal. ~"THE MORE YOU KNOW"

I don’t care what anyone says Game Of Thrones was the best show of our generation hands down and no I don’t care that the last season did not cook as it should have. Everything else made up for it. The music, the cinematography, the acting, the lore and events… A MASTERPIECE. Please watch GOT it will not disappoint.

The thing is, they had plenty of material to fill during season 5-6 yet they chose to cut about 50% of the content from the books. The Dorne plot, tyrions plot, Danys plot and Bolton/Stannis plots were 10x more complex and thorough in the books. D&D had more than enough content to make s5-6 a cohesive narrative so you have to put blame on them.

The showrunners had GRRM's writing to build off of, and GRRM is a brilliant writer. Once they reached where the books currently are, they had to work with vague outlines, and they clearly failed to meet the same standard as GRRM's writing. I would say up until S 7 it wasn't the showrunners fault, I think GRRM shouldn't have neglected the story and should've finished it or released a few more books. But season 8 was 100% the showrunners rushing the ending so they could quickly move on to making the Star Wars film they were hired for. Ironically, their complete disregard for a story they and countless others put a decade of blood, sweat, and tears into was proof enough that they weren't the right people to handle a franchise like Star Wars.

As someone who has seen pretty much every critically acclaimed show I still have GOT as my number 1 all time. Seasons 1-4 of GOT are the greatest media to ever be put on television while 7-8 are some of the worst content (writing wise) to ever be released. GOT simultaneously has the greatest peaks in tv and the lowest lows ever. 5-6 are pretty mixed but still have a ton of great moments. Despite all this, it’s still worth the watch to see what made it the most popular show ever. I can 100% guarantee it will be in all of ur top 5s once you’ve seen it. (Psa HOTD has been incredible and def helped to wash the taste out of the last 2 seasons of GOT out of my mouth)

A Game of Thrones series would be entertaining once you finish House of the Dragon. Game of Thrones is my favorite show of all time, although, like everyone else, I dislike parts of the seventh season and just about the entirety of the eighth season. Game of Thrones captivated millions from all around the globe; the show had everyone counting down the days to season releases and I don't think there will ever be another show like it. The reason it starts to go downhill is because the books are not finished and the directors of the show did not want to wait for them to be finished and chose to instead create their own (horrific) ending, but the ending does not take away from the six incredible seasons that predate it!

I wish you would have watched Blue Eye Samurai - probably the best show in 2023, and probably the best NEW animated show in recent years. But, I mean, I understand, IT IS Game of Thrones... altho... my opinion is that you should have started with GOT instead of HOTD because thats how we all saw it first and how the AUTHOR intended the audience see it. LOTR is absolutely still goated I actually just finished rewatching the movies recently. It has its dark areas for sure but at the end of the day LOTR can be watched by a much younger audience so I think it tones down some of those aspects of violence. Whereas GOT and HOTD know they have a much more mature audience who can handle that gore and understand what it provides to the story.

To clarify for Carter - Rhaenyra is 14 in episode 1. He's getting confused because Aemma is pregnant and then the next title card says 9 years into the reign of Viserys, but that isn't the same as 9 years later. The Old King, Jaehaerys, didn't die immediately after the Great Council, he still had a few years left in him. By the time Viserys takes the throne he's been the designated heir for 4-5 years.

Then I watched the show and read the books, and all I can say is I'm amazed one man could have conceived this story. I want to see the events of the sucession after Aegor the Conqueror passed. I would love to see what they could do with Maegor the Cruel. The first dance of dragons. Also on the aspect of gore, I feel like like it is way more impactful on the audience than if they just implied it. The gore is a huge reason the childbirth scene is so hard to watch and it perfectly conveys that her battlefield is the bed like she said earlier. The shots keep cutting from the violence of the tourney back to the childbirth which is great symbolism.

Awesome choice for new live action series reactions! I love this show. The book is amazing too if you like to read. Edit post watch: First off, mad respect for McKay pushing for them to give the Queen more agency over her own body. It's a messed up scene. Second, the book is written from different perspectives and mostly speculations. So for instance, no one actually knows if Daemon really said "Heir for a day." They portrayed this perfectly here by having Otto say it but not cutting back to Daemon saying it. Then when confronted, Daemon doesn't admit anything. Third thing, don't watch Game of Thrones until the end of this show. It's easy to miss when watching GoT first but the outcome to the events of this show is mentioned in passing, but if you know anything about this story, you'll pick up on it immediately. I hope y'all enjoy this series and if you're readers, pick up the book Fire & Blood. But I guess after watching the series cause, obviously, spoilers.

This show COOKS so far. A Song of Ice & Fire is an awesome IP that has a lot of awesome stories to tell, but Game of Thrones S8 did some DAMAGE to the fanbase.
