2024-03-26 19:07:39 +0000 UTCabout anime openings, they almost always change it up after 12-13 episodes because anime is split into cours. FMAB is actually pretty long compared to a lot of anime these days that are like 12-13 episodes. Notice how JJK season 1 has 2 openings for being 24 episodes cause they changed halfway through. That's not always the case but I've seen it as a common formula after watching anime for several years. Like say when I'm watching a 36 episode series and I'm on like episode 13 or 14 I already know that there will be an opening 2.

2024-03-26 06:52:12 +0000 UTCTo defend Heinkel on why he didn't give them the Philosopher stone is because he's already shown the stone to Ed. He was already told how they would never use the stone for themselves, he says this to Al when he's getting dragged by him. You have to remember that he was with Ed for weeks before he formally met Alphonse (Alphonse was trapped in the dome with Pride before they had their first conversation). It didn't cross his mind in the past few hours to tell Alphonse while he was in the dome that he was holding on to a stone that Ed already knew was in his possession. So him forgetting that he has the stone until that moment isn't unrealistic (cause Ed has already refused to hold on to the stone in an implied offscreen moment), he just gives an amazing speech to Alphonse to use the stone to stop Pride and Kimblee in order to stand a chance against them by himself.

Although Heinkel speech is super sick Also Heinkel said "that reminds me" when he mentioned kimblee, and then pulled out the stone, so I guess it's assumed he had forgotten about it until this moment

Henkel should have recognized it sooner, but he was badly injured so we can blame it on that I think :D

So it's been some years that they've just been stuck in that. But imagine if that stone just stayed lost in that rubble. They'd just be eternally stuck in that stone, never being able to pass on. The people of Xerxes have been in father and hohenhiem for 400+ years!

I think al just assumed selim was just being a child because of his looks. But it hasn't quite been a whole day. Maybe a couple hours since they trapped pride a bit before sunrise I think. May was being super naive for believing envy. I'm not sure if she was just lying to herself so she could potentially help everyone in amestris or if she really thought she could find a better thing for immortality to bring home. She is 12 and I know I was a dumbass back then lol.

2024-03-26 01:59:01 +0000 UTCTear gas is no joke! Any exposed mucosal membranes, and even sweat on your skin will sting! I remember when we had to get to that part during basic training. My platoon went last that day because they randomly decided to do 4-1st instead of 1st-4th. We had already done some basics w our gas masks like how to seal it and how to clear it. When i walked into the small building they were using for it it was kinda sectioned off. So the initial room didn't have as much of the gas in it. We went a handful at a time and while we waited the drill sergeants made us do stuff like jumping jacks (assholes wanted us to sweat more so it'd sting more). They popped off a fresh canister of the gas when we got in there, they already had a small stack of the old ones on the table. One of the drill sergeants wasn't wearing a gas mask at all! It was like it didn't affect him. On a count we had to all remove our masks and then start reciting the soldiers creed and we had to get to a certain part of it before they let us out. My body just started coughing immediately before the stinging even registered, it was uncontrollable. It was like super intense icy hot everywhere. Then we just had to walk a path and flap our arms the whole time to try to get the chemicals off our uniforms.

Each state alchemist was assigned a squad that was supposed to protect them. Mustang was the only one who showed care for and protected his men, so they're still loyal to him.
