2024-03-30 01:27:40 +0000 UTCI guess I kinda get why I cringe in early Naruto episodes. I mean, I watched it back when I was, elementary going to highschool, it wasn't cringe at that time. I think it's because it was catered to young audience (same age as Naruto). you see, Naruto continues to grow (mentally and physically) each episodes each season, same as me, taking to consideration the audience, whose mentality develops, as we go the themes of Naruto gets heavier (still it has its comedic moments). ahhh its hard putting it into words tho haha sorry The early season of Naruto (especially the very start) is catered towards young audience whose age may be similar to Naruto. to add that connection with the audience. and as we grow old, Naruto grows as well (I think that is why we all love this because Naruto -and his batch, grew alongside us). so when Shippuden came, the show became catered not only to kids but also adults. Im not saying that kid Naruto is not enjoyable to watch... some will find it cringe tho haha I myself didn't expect how some early episodes are so cringey after rewatching it now. 😅

I literally rewatched the first saga right after the live action dropped, which I haven’t watched since my teens & I was shocked with how boring and dragged out it is. The arcs are so average and underwhelming in writing that I had to really think back to my younger days and ask myself when I actually started to like OP and what I liked about it. I couldn’t even continue, I literally had to force myself to finish the first saga ( east blue ) all cause I enjoyed the live action so much. Then I finally remembered all the reasons why I dropped OP in the first place when ‘dressrosa arc’ was being released. So really stop the cap

Im not here to shit on naruto though, but most of what you just said about one piece is incorrect lol its a top selling comic and novel world wide for a reason. You're seeing a modern day epic being written, a modern Odyssey that will be a classic for many years to come. What I've learned is One Piece gets shit on by people who havent actually watched/read it, and when youve actually seen all 3 to its end, you'll realize its been steadily cooking something more grand than any of those two stories could ever dream to pull off. The man hasnt fallen off on his writing for a single second either. I used to be a One Piece hater for more than a decade, now I know the others were only competing against each other lol Naruto overall is better written than Bleach, but Bleach plays into certain sensibilities like the rule of cool better than any of them. One Piece though is actually there saying something important and real, while giving you lore and world building that the other two couldnt even compare to. Like I said, the modern day Odyssey.

One piece starts out fine and paced with the manga fairly well but turns straight up horrible, sometimes only half a chapter's worth of content is contained in a full episode. Both Naruto and Bleach are plagued with fillers, though Bleach even more so than Naruto. It's really a slog to get through. That's probably why a show like FMAB has such staying power, being a fairly older show that came out "around" the same time while keeping to one clear concise story that gets told in about 50 epsiodes.

These other channels will also have edited versions that go with the timers. I actually like the timers better because it makes for a better viewing experience (split screen), prevents any copyright issues on the content creators, and it supports the people who make these anime, or movies.
