He is an awful matchup for those zombies, because his flame alchemy has amazing AoE damage and can also incinerate the whole body, including the head, at once. But against intelligent opponents in one-on-one settings, those tremendous advantages are much more limited. Obv he's still a baller and an insanely strong alchemist, though.

2024-04-09 10:26:48 +0000 UTCRoy killed Lust to protect Al and Hawkeye. Roy wanted to kill envy purely because of vengeance. That is a huge difference. If he wanted to kill envy because envy is an enemy, that would be fine, but if he would kill envy because he was unable to control his urge for revenge, this would lead him down the evil path. Once he would give in to it, it would be easier to do it next time until eventually he would not be a Roy anymore. Someone who is slave to his rage is not fit to rule a peaceful country. At least that’s how I see it.

Roy's VA is already amazing but the sadness and desperation you can feel when he says "but I finally did it, I ran him down" is just so good. And when he goes to riza saying he hurt her again. Its not perfect but it establishes a baseline of quality and very slowly builds and ramps up over time until all the storylines and characters finally come together and its done very well. You can feel that here where theyve been saying the past few episodes that the buildup to this promised day arc was done really well and they can really feel how intense/good things are getting As opposed to something like AOT which has peaks of like 11 out of 10 but maybe has more flaws or whatever

If I’m leaving you in charge of defending my back, it means you can shoot me from behind at any time. If I ever stray from my path, shoot me right away with those hands. You have that right." She believes that allowing himself to give in to his anger and hatred means he will end up as a leader who only cares about war, instead of the ruler he vowed to be, one who would rebuild the country without war. To her, in that moment, he was straying from his path, so she was permitted to kill him. However, she has no intention to live in a world without Roy. If she had to kill him there, she would have killed herself. And we've seen this before this episode. When Lust said Mustang was dead, she lost the will to fight, and resigned herself to dying.
