I didn't cry or care not once while watching. I hate majority of the characters. I'll always have respect for it being and OG. But the show isn't good. Waaaaay too much filler. Hands barely thrown. More talking than fighting AoT is waaay better to me. I cried when characters died and went through something and it didn't draw out anything. AoT is way more emotional to me because they had no choice to fight and become monsters.When the female titan slaughtered the cadets I would rage. AoT bought out anger, sadness, and hope in me. I care about all the characters. I can understand the actions of all the characters

A lot of it is just trolls. I think you guys put out a fair amount of content. Even for people like me who aren't into anime and only watch for HOTD/GOT, 2 episodes a week is fair. Like I said I haven’t seen got but at least compared to aot, the origin of the Ninja world and the cycles of conflict in the generations afterwards over what it means to “love” is beautiful. You could even argue that shinobi were born out of a difference in the primitive understanding of what love was, and yet it is that love that exists as the source of both peace and war. Love is the foundational force, as well as the continuous entity that spurs action both “good” and “bad”.

2024-04-17 04:42:30 +0000 UTCIf you care for any actual constructive criticism, honestly just a heads up on whether there’s gonna be an upload for that day is enough to quell a lot of the uproar, obviously people are gonna be itching for their specific show, but having to refresh the Patreon page till 3am to know if there’s a drop does get a little annoying. Or if a drop that was said to happen isn’t going to happen or the amount of episodes is gonna be short for any given drop so you don’t sit there refreshing for the next one. As of right now most people have to scour the comments hoping for a comment from the gek account with info on the next upload and often it ends up being unfulfilled (time of upload or quantity of episodes uploaded)

If you decide to watch an upload at 1 am thats your decision, but personally it makes no difference to me. I think of it as getting the uploads 8 hours early instead of in the morning, And as far as the being ahead of YouTube goes, you would feel a lot more ahead if both shows i mentioned (naruto and fmab) got uploaded more on youtube. If they did that you wouldn’t feel like you’re right where YouTube is, which is only because they decided to upload GOT before those other two shows, if that makes any sense. If those shows got uploaded youtube would probably still be on season 1 of GOT

The original translation has spellings like "Cselksess" for Xerxes, "Ishbal" for Ishval, and things like that, and some names are different (I think its Mei Chang, not May). While Fullmetal is much closer to the Anime with translations. So you'll never have to read "Cselksess"

It seems like every fan base is upset that their show comes up once a week and then they have to wait another week, this is especially true for the longer shows that will take months to complete. Also I think it would be a good idea to space GOT uploads further apart during the week rather than both at once so it doesn’t feel like a week wait each time (I know you could just watch on different days yourself but when both eps drop at one time Ik for fact I am not waiting lol). Just my opinion, but love the content regardless and keep up the good work!

FMA:B fans get about 2 a week, and have since, September. And you guys can get it for free on YouTube (albeit edited and a few weeks behind), while we dont even have episode 1 edited for free, despite them reacting to that 6+ months ago. Plus GoT episodes are twice, sometimes up to three or four times, the length of a single FMA:B episode. At 2 a week, you're literally getting more than twice the content. Like, calm down. You'll get your episodes when you get them

Just because your favorite show isnt getting uploaded as much as you’d like doesnt mean they are doing a bad job as a patreon channel. We are 20 naruto episodes ahead of the youtube, and not a single fmab episode has been uploaded to youtube. You are also still getting consistent GOT uploads every week. Everybody in this channel knows that GOT brought a lot of viewers to the patreon and YouTube, but that doesnt warrant special treatment. Im not trying to bash you or anything like that, but this is just a common thing thats been going on for a little and people just can’t leave it alone

Should he like $3 tbh, however, I do recognize you guys are busy with school and you will soon be going full time. Hope fully you can at least make it two weeks ahead. Would be more fair for the amount people pay. I currently don’t feel like it is worth paying for what I am seeing.

As for the time of the uploads - honestly, time zones - for some people it’s bound to be released in a weird hour of the day. For me it’s early morning which is perfect.

It actually made me go back and rewatch part 1 because I understood the story better after seeing part 2. You really appreciate how good the first movie is once you're able to understand the world the story takes place in. Part 2 turned me into a Dune head for real lol. I've seen it 3 times already and have started to read the books.

I read the book a long time ago and never saw 1 so can’t comment in detail on it, but 2 was great in terms of pacing, conflict, character developments, mysteries revealed, fights, etc. Also since I didn’t even watch the first one and felt invested the whole way through, it probably shows how good the movie is lol. Definitely didn’t feel like a 3 hour movie for me

This notion wasnt explored in the show, but if anyone ever played FFVII, the main antagonist (Sephiroth) in that story somehow managed to stay himself within the overwhelming river that is the Lifestream... it is a similar concept. From a psychological standpoint, it is interesting to think about Hohenheim as a character - did he "abandon" his own family, or did "he" even exist as a singular individual while simultaneously containing tens of thousands of people in himself? Maybe all of those people talk to him, telling him stuff, asking him to do this or that, giving him their opinion of every little insignificant thing every single day. Would be enough to change a person, if not drive them completely bat shit crazy.

Because they skipped over things like Youswell mine, it served as a way for us to get to know Ed and Al, but you can kind of just forget about the events of the first episode. But he was against Bradley and the rest. Somehow he learned there was some sinister plot (maybe killing innocents, maybe the immortal legion, we don't really know), and turned against them. He was never really a threat to Father's plan though, it would just have been an inconvenience to replace the generals with more people obsessed with immortality that he can manipulate into slaughtering innocents for the circle. Xerxes was destroyed about 400 years before the show takes place. The show takes place in 1914/1915 in an alternate world, which is more important for FMA than it is for FMA:B. As for why Hohenheim left Trisha, Ed, and Al, it hasn't been revealed yet, just that he had to finish something.
