I also saw the comment and didn't think anything of it other than "oh thats cool that they are married in real life", but didn't think further than that. In so many shows they will have the real life couples in a show together but its just a cool easter egg and usually doesn't add to more of the plot.

However, I think she would’ve done it regardless, even if the soldiers weren’t riled up and ready to kill him. Her stupid impulse plays (capturing Tyrion in season 1) tend to screw over her family.

2024-05-18 00:53:55 +0000 UTCOne sarcastic thing that the Game of Thrones show did during the original release schedule was to drop episodes on Mothers and Fathers Day that would be very ironic for those particular holidays. The first example of it was this season when they revealed the burnt bodies of the “supposed” Stark boys at the end of the last episode on Mothers Day. I also find it amusing to see you guys speculate about Tallisa. During Seasons 2 and 3 it was a popular internet theory that she was a Lannister spy sent to infiltrate Robb’s camp. There is even that moment when Robb catches her writing a letter and she playfully tells him that he caught her writing to the Lannister because she is a spy. I make no comment about whether these theories had any validity or not. But it is fun to see you guys coming to the same conclusions that the original viewers did about certain characters. I did see one of you catching Robb quoting his father when talking to Tallisa. This is actually taken from the very first Bran chapter in the Game of Thrones book, when Bran goes to the execution of the Night’s Watchman they caught deserting the Wall, and he tells them that he saw the White Walkers, although Ned doesn’t believe it’s true. Bran asks his father if a man can be brave when he is scared, because Bran had overheard a discussion between Jon and Robb about whether the man was showing bravery or fear just before his execution. And Ned tells Bran that is the only time that a man can be brave. It is a famous quote of Ned’s and repeated at various points in the books. In fact, that first Bran chapter is a wonderful chapter and well worth reading. One of you made a comment that made me think that you thought Shae set Roz up by giving her the Lannister lion necklace. That was actually given to Roz by Tyrion when he met her while visiting Winterfell. Somebody must have told Cersei that they saw Roz wearing a Lannister necklace and she came to her own conclusions about Roz’s involvement with Tyrion. Lastly, I always find Stannis’ resentment of Robert giving him Dragonstone as a castle, while Renly got Storm’s End, interesting to ponder. Stannis was angry because Storm’s End has much larger lands associated with it and under its rule. This is one of the reasons Renly was able to put together a much larger army than Stannis. The other reason being that Renly had High Garden join him as well. Plus Storm’s End is the ancestral home of the Baratheons and would go to the eldest son. But on the other hand, Dragonstone was the traditional home of the heir to the throne. And before Joffrey was born, Robert considered Stannis his heir. So was it an insult that Stannis was given Dragonstone, while Renly got Storm’s End or not? Stannis definitely seems to think it was. But Stannis is prickly about everything.

2024-05-02 01:19:27 +0000 UTCIts not spoilers. What everyone is saying comes from episode 7, the Karstarks wanted to kill jamie after his escape attempt when he killed lord karstarks son. I think it was brienne who told cat jamie wouldn't survive the night because karstark was so vengeful. And when cat goes to talk to jamie even he talks about how he's only going to live a few more hours because everyone in camp wants him dead. Plus robb was gone from camp and they werent respecting Cat's word to not harm jamie. That's all from episode 7. So it makes sense that now in episode 8 she releases him because she thought he was going to die and as cat said this episode "killing jamie wont buy life for your son. Returning him to kings landing may buy life for mine" she explained this episode he's no good to anyone dead, and if they were gonna kill him anyways its better to free him on the off chance her girls are freed as well. Its all there in these 2 episodes.

Robb is only sixteen in the books and is still a badass but still foolish, Robb gets injured in a small battle and then hears the news of bran and Rickon being dead by Theon and then through grief sleeps with a girl named Jayne Westerlin (Talisa in the show). and then feels honor bound to marry her for taking her maidenhood by reflecting on his fathers mistake dishonoring his mother and Jon being a bastard. Also Catelyn is under house arrest at Riverrun after letting Jamie go where she is looking after her dying father.

They were present in that weird magic ritual the witch performed in the tent on Khal Drogo and his horse. Not only that, but then, in the pyre where they were hatched, the witch was also burned alive, along with their "mother" who was willing to offer her own life to the fire. You know that when it comes to magic in most fantasy fiction, the act of sacrifice is usually significant in some big way. Just something important not to forget when thinking about her dragons.

In the scene where robb and karstark confront Cat she should have said "lord karstark just yesterday you lot were going to kill him behind robbs back. Had i let you do that the queen would have my captive daughters killed. He's more useful alive and free than dead in chains" something like that would have better explained her reasoning. Instead most are left with the impression that she is acting dumb here, but it makes sense why she did it.
