not about the “generic good vs evil” stuff but as a book reader you guys were cooking a bit when talking about George at the end there. im not spoiling anything. but idk if you guys know the last book came out 13 YEARS AGO! back when the show was first starting, then it went for 8 entire seasons, five more years passed, and we still dont know anything about when the next one is coming. people think its because George got so invested in the worldbuilding and the complex web of characters and storylines that it must feel impossible to start bringing to a close. this is partly why the ending of the show is… the way it is.

Sansa is more recognisable and noticable than Arya, especially with red hair. The only reason Arya got so far is because she was pretending to be a boy, and that is impossible for Sansa. It would be way easier for people to catch Sansa if she were to escape. Rewatching, I realize that both Sansa and Arya are stuck in places were they are both able to somehow survive. Arya is a fighter and 'boyish'. She was able to blend in and live in the wild, but she would never be able to go the way she does in King's Landing. She would never be able to pretend and keep silent, which was the best way to survive under Joffrey and Cersei. I think Arya would've said the wrong things and try to run away and end up caught and hurt. At least here, she hasn't been hurt so far. She is able to stand her ground because her fierceness is acceptable and even helpful. Arya is okay with killing people, which she did directly and indirectly, and knows how to hold her ground in the outside world, which suits her. While Sansa is obviously not a fighter and as wild as Arya, she can keep herself safe by following the rules. She hasn't been badly hurt only because of that. If she were anything other than 'obedient' in King's Landing, Cersei would have found a way to destroy her even more. Sansa is smart for being careful but still way too naive. She showed 'loyalty' to Joffrey and didn't run away with Hound, which I think is a good decision, if we look at things from her point of view. Overall, as much as i was annoyed with some stuff on the first watch I've come to appreciate their difference in settings and overall personalities on the rewatch. P.S. Be prepared for what's to come in this season)

Think of Sansa as her being in prison or hostage. If you were in a foreign prison like in Russia or another country and you know your family in USA is trying to free you with political plans, the best thing to do would be to wait and not trying to escape. Escaping put you in a LOT more risks. And we know Joeffrey likes to torture his "toy". She almost got away with the Tyrell. Arya is just lucky to be alive. I always thought that a huge problem with Sansa trying to escape KL with the Hound would be that she looks way too distinct with the red hair compared to Arya, and as the oldest daughter and only Lannister hostage, the bounty on her would be crazy high. Also in the books he's very creepy when he asks her to go with him, so I get why she refused there, but they didn't show that creepiness in the show so it made less sense imo. Leaving with Littlefinger would have been a good choice, but alas, she overestimated Margaery's/the Tyrell's power lol. I can't tell how much she truly trusts Littlefinger though, sometimes she seems like she's acting because she's learning to play the game.
